  1. Maybe. If you look at the stats that JHB provided, it shows that Ellsbury is ready to bust out of his slump. I believe that Jason Varitek is not a .130 hitter, (haha, maybe he is) and the rest of offense are all above average hitters, save for Lugo. This team even has two very good options at AAA they have yet to use for any long period of time. Jed Lowrie and Chris Carter can both upgrade the lineup. Yes, but the effect wasn't as big as someone might think. The offense managed to score 4.7 runs a game in the series against Cincy and Philly, which actually dragged the numbers downward. Furthermore, the offense scored 5.06 runs at home in the fifteen games they played at Fenway, compared to 5.16 runs away from Fenway. No, but this is enjoyable.
  2. People get frustrated when you call out the offense for being terrible, despite mounds of evidence that suggest otherwise. You've been harping that this offense has been awful since April, and they've scored more runs in each of the last two months than they did back in April. You continually contradict yourself in your posts, suggesting that an offensive swoon in April was ended due to Jacoby Ellsbury coming back. Now Jacoby can't hit? Really? I'll bet your wrist is sore batting yourself on the bat for calling the D-Rays staying power, and I'll bet it was sore when the Red Sox went into a six game slump back in April. 99.9% of your post was reminding everyone how awesome your prediction was. s*** like that, pisses people off. I'm not surprised why people react the way they do toward you. Listen, you tell us why this offense, that is second in the AL in scoring, and has scored just about as much runs without Ortiz in the lineup is bad. I have yet to see a reason, other than that, "o players get hot and the red sox are lucky one got hot."
  3. Yeah, it scored more runs in June, than it does for the average on the year. You're right, it's not the same.
  4. f*** the offense for not scoring twelve runs.
  5. Debatable. This lineup is not awful, like you two claim.
  6. I agree. His rant sounded like the guy who listed just about everything under the sun, and still found fault with the Romans.
  7. Dude, didn't you admit that scoring was down throughout the ENTIRE AL? Relative to this year, this is a very good lineup.
  8. Red Sox RPG in June - 5.1 Season - 5.04
  9. You're opinion is that an offense that is second in the AL in RS, is a bad offense. Sorry, but that's f***ing stupid.
  10. What do you think about Drew's lack of passion? What about team's that score over five runs a game?
  11. I hate MLB.tv. Same f***ing promos every time.
  12. Carter might need the additional help at 1B..... As for Varitek, they stuck with Lugo when he was hitting .198. I guess they're going to stick with him.... How bad does he have to play to warrant a replacement?
  13. Tweaks to the lineup. 1. Pedroia, 2B 2. Youkilis, 1B 3. Drew, RF 4. Ramriez, LF 5. Lowell, 3B 6. Doumit, C 7. Carter, 1B 8. Ellsbury, CF 9. Lowrie, SS (According to WARP, Lugo has been worse than he was last year, thanks to his defense.)
  14. He's not this bad, so any improvement will look like a turnaround to the fans. That'll save his job.
  15. How about a Pedroia/Youkilis combination at the top of lineup until he turns it around?
  16. Damaso Marte and Ryan Doumit for Michael Bowden?
  17. .783, but he's got a .400 OBP. Personally, I would have walked him and faced Ellsbury.
  18. Lowrie is better off getting everyday playing time, rather than sitting on the bench.
