  1. What the f*** is that? A bus from Finland? He was a project that hasn't panned out. He hasn't shown the ability to recapture his stuff, or toss strikes. Why the f*** are you telling me about Jacko's argument? Isn't this fairly obvious to everyone else? He doesn't like what the other person says, so he ignores the argument, and makes one up on his own, or tells you about someone elses argument. I would never say anything that corny. That's reserved for you. You can keep shouting that, but that doesn't make it true. A garbage 1.50 WHIP is not someone worth defending. This is should be obvious. lol kris johnson is betr than u. THE WORST ARGUMENT I HAVE EVER f***ING READ! I can't believe you employed that. It was pathetic, and you should admit it. Your comparison falls apart after examining the evidence. It's horrible. You are using Daniel Bard as a reason to suggest that Johnson would be OK after Lancaster. If that's the case, than I can use that to justify every pitcher who has sucked at Lancaster. It's a nonsense comparison. The whole point in refuting the Bard argument, is because Dan Bard was considered a top prospect by most major publications. The fact that you call Johnson a "good pitcher," is an opinion you share by yourself. You are trying to link a very good prospect with an average one, at best. It is nonsense, just like everything else you spew out. Getting torched, and behind in his development? You are making my argument for me. I don't see any progress. I see a pitcher with bad control, who did nothing to change my mind. You could drop 20 hits to help his BABIP, but his WHIP would still be over 1.30. He has a major problem with control. He needs to fix that. If a FIP manages to churn out a 3.41 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP, there is something wrong with the method. Speaking of luck, look at his 0.33 HR/9 rates. That's unsustainable.
  2. Really? You can't be this stupid. That wasn't your point, but you are a total revisionist. We've been talking about Kris Johnson, who is three years removed from college. If he hasn't developed his pitches by now, he's either a late bloomer (rare), or he just isn't that good. I'll go with the more likely scenario. His WHIP, his age, his lack of stuff, and if it is Lancaster shell-shock, it's been a f***ing year. That borders on PTSD, which we probably could go without. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You f***ing suck. ...... I got him to say it. Stop using the Lancaster Effect like it's a psychogical disorder. If these pampered pussies can't handle giving up a few runs in a bandbox, then how will they handle a pressure packed situation in Fenway? Let's see. Bard's fastball has been called, "the best he's ever seen," by a major league scout. Kris Johnson has not. Really? 1.50 WHIP is bouncing back? You are easily impressed. Now that you have admitted it, you can stop using Bard in your argument. Again, two different situations. Bard was truly awful in Greenville/Lancaster in 2007. He needed to repeat the level. Johnson was a little below average for Lancaster. Craig Hansen can't throw strikes. He's also extremely soft. I'm glad we traded him. There comes a point where it is pointless and too conservative to leave a player in AA ball. I don't think it's a stretch to see Tazawa blowing away AA ball hitters. If he's not doing that, then by all means leave him in Portland, but if he's showing that he's too advanced for his competition, he should start playing against better players. Why did you bring this up? Who even came close to advocating this? I suggested that he go to Pawtucket if he's dominating AA ball. Do you see ANYTHING about Boston in that point? Stop making s*** up. Nice of you to say "I think I know." Seeing how you pretty much made up your argument from whatever popped into your head first, I think the only thing we can credit you for knowing is that Kris Johnson has the letter 'K' in his name.
  3. Tourettes.
  4. That Hershey's commercial is the worst on TV.
  5. http://books.google.com/books?id=YTktr9wCtwgC&printsec=frontcover&dq=redsox
  6. Call it what you want, but I see no reason for optimistic outlooks on Johnson. A bit underrated? So you mean like the 24th best prospect in the system? Maybe the 20th? Still s***. f***ing Christ, you have to be the most literal person on the site. I was referring to your argument, in which you brought up Bard. I didn't mention anything about you doing it before. I think using Bard in this argument just once is an excess. The two aren't similar. OH, BECUZ TAHT HAPPEN 2 BARD N HE PITCH GOOD AFTER MABEY JOHNSON WIL PTIC GUD 2. Simple, absurd connection. It definitely is possible. I have been receptive to numerous analogies made on this site. From you? No, because you aren't capable of making a sound one. If Tazawa is blowing hitters away in AA ball, it's because he's too good for the level. He needs to be with players that are at his level of competition. The one problem I have with the Red Sox front office is that they baby their prospects, because IT MITE RUIN THEM. Sorry, I don't buy it. If it does, I don't want those *******s on our team. Abstract terms like that one vary from person to person. I think my projection is pretty realistic.
  7. Go away if you don't want to talk about what we are talking about.
  8. Usually when that happens, the pitcher has done something to warrant it. Mainly, not pitch well. I could care less about soxprospects ratings. Baseballprospectus and BaseballAmerica all have Johnson out of their top 15. He's a forgotten man no matter the source. Again, I never claimed otherwise. Convienent of you to use a source that would subtract a year off Johnson, and add a year to Bard. Wouldn't it be easier to just use THEIR f***ING REAL AGE? Nope, doesn't suit your argument. Bard then went on to dominate Portland, and has pitched very well in the spring. If you want to give credit to Johnson, than that's indicitive of how much a dumbass you are, and how far you'll toss objectivity out the window. Tazawa looked excellent in the spring, and has a much higher upside than Johnson does. There's a stronger possiblity of him blowing batters away at AA, than Johnson has. I think they should promote the better prospect. I didn't say "write him off." I said this guy is a middle reliever. How many prospects make it that far?
  9. Has anyone seen him play in spring training? He's always been a fat f***. Despite that, he's played some very good defense in CF. Maybe if he put some work into his conditioning he could at least be average offensively, and very good defensively.
  10. Consistent improvement? Only if you count his ERA drop without factoring in his environment. His WHIP, K/9 rates, and BB/9 rates have remained stagnant.
  11. Never said anything about wanting to let it die. You're the one who sulked about being a victim. The heights of doucheism. He's 24. He's a college trained pitcher. It's hard to understand, because you keep making stuff up to suit your argument. Why haven't I heard a single scout rave about how Kris Johnson is an awesome pitcher. I'll admit, I was high on Johnson prior to the 2008 season, but I've soured on him, because he hasn't shown any ability to control his pitches. He's listed as the 29th best prospect at soxprospects. As much as soxprospects swallows the load of any prospect that goes through the system, that's pretty low. He wasn't listed in the top 15 by BP, or BA. Never claimed otherwise. This is getting annoying. Irony. No, it is not. Bard is a full year younger than Johnson. When he was twenty-two he had an absurd 43/4 K:BB ratio. Johnson could never touch that. Weak. Tazawa. He's a much better prospect than Johnson, and I think he'll be in Pawtucket before. ERA is a misleading stat. There is a strong correlation with WHIP and ERA. If his WHIP remains in the 1.50 area, he's never going to get a chance to prove himself. It probably helped that he was getting out weaker opponents in the EL. How does he expect that respectable ERA when he moves up and faces better opponents? His ERA would definitely go up. He's going to be moving up to a level where many pitchers fail to adjust. Johnson hasn't even proved that he can pitch above average at Portland. Why would I do that? I'm more concered about Johnson's mediocre numbers in Portland. No, because many scouts believed that Bard could dominate in shorter stints. I don't see a consensus with that on Johnson. Johnson doesn't have near the stuff that Bard does. The two can't be compared.
  12. Greatest scene from The Holy Grail.
  13. Why the f*** would you say something this stupid? You wanted to let it die, and now you are responding. I attack the person's position, and then I'll attack the person when it is warranted. I see no logical fallacy here. You are a douche. That is as good as a point as any of the other ones. His BB/9 ratio isn't good, but that's not the problem? You can't even keep track of your argument two seconds after you began it. Wrong. Bard is a year and four months younger than Johnson. Why do you keep bringing up Bard? Bard dominated two levels, and he's dominating spring training. He's a top 100 prospect, Johnson is not. I don't expect much from this guy, and I won't be impressed if he does well in Portland this year. He'll be there for a second year, and he's a bit old for the league. Stop saying he's pitched well enough. He's had a 1.49 WHIP. That isn't good. That's middle relief filler numbers. A scout recently called Bard's fastball "the best he had ever seen." Bard was lauded by scouts when he entered the draft. You do this a lot. You try to find an example that would justify Johnson's failure and use it as why we should be optimistic. No matter how different the prospect is to Johnson.
  14. Again, your words.
  15. Didn't this same thing happen to Carson Palmer against Pittsburgh?
  16. I think it's because you're a flaming douchebag.
  17. dojji is sad feva
  18. Read the link I provided. You are calling Pollard's hit on Brady dirty. I put no words in your mouth. I said that the rule wouldn't apply to Pollard, because he didn't do anything that the rule said he should have been fined/penalized for for. Brady stepped into Pollard. You said that it would apply to Pollard, thus stating that the hit was illegal, or in your words "dirty." Unless you have changed your mind in the last six months, but I have no evidence of that. I can only go by what you post.
  19. He had average numbers at AA ball. Not embarrassing, but not someone that should be listed on a depth chart directly behind Michael Bowden. No fair minded person would claim I said something like that. Why must you resort to stuffing words in people's mouth? In fact, you put him behind Bowden on the depth chart. That's number eight. Not only can you not keep track of people's words that are right in front of you, but you can't even do the same for you own. Oh, but that's not the first time we've watched you change your opinion when the need arises. His upside is the 6th inning, entering into a 17-1 blowout. He's a walk machine with mediocre stuff. This isn't the first time you've overstated the value of the Kris Johnson. This isn't nearly as bad as thinking that he could be part of a deal with Mike Lowell to get Lance Berkman, but your line of thinking, mainly overhype every fringe Red Sox prospect. Nice of you to dismiss two full seasons worth of mediocre stats, and focus on the HWB, which Jeremy Papelbon dominated. What team did he play for? I can't find his stats, or his name on a roster. Kris Johnson Johan Santana Jon Lester CC Sabathia Who does not belong? Gom, this is a strawman. Your words. I never once claimed that prospect meant future superstar. I would never give Johnson the credit of thinking he could ever be that good. I don't even think he's a capable fifth starter. Way to whittle the argument down to complete absurdity. Johnson is a prospect. Was this your trump card? f***ing weak. Thank you for revealing to us a valuable piece of information that we couldn't go without. Johnson is a D+/C- level prospect, with a chance of not even making the major leagues. He's got serious work to do on his command. BTW, didn't I say that he's a middle relief prospect? That's MLB upside, correct? Not that Soviet Union style overstatement you were looking for, but I did do that. To sum up, you misrepresented my argument, and when you couldn't come close to understanding what I said you filled the rest in yourself. What a douchebag.
  20. Every single one of these sentences isn't just wrong, but they are completely and utterly devoid of logic. This is not something to brag about. Mark Wagner is a backup catcher at the big league level at best. This is a good informative site where you can learn about Red Sox prospects, but to use it to prove a point about the validity of a prospects status is foolhardy. Soxprospects is known for overstating the value of prospects, and squelching negative comments. Show me what a real major league scout says about Johnson, or you could back up your argument with statistics. Oh, but you won't, because Johnson's statistics suck. Wow, I just looked up where Kris Johnson is located on the notorious hype machine that is Soxprospects. He's the 29th rated prospect in the system. Sandwiched between two backup catchers. This is f***ing sad. You usually don't rely on these guys to provide emergency relief. You tried doing this with Hunter Jones, but Jones at least has a track record and would be pitching in the 6th inning. You are talking about a guy who would be called about to start games for the Red Sox. If Kris Johnson is doing this every fifth day, this season is going to suck. Johnson starting for the Red Sox would be frighteningly reminiscent of the 2006. Dustin Richardson is a scrub. He may never make the big leagues. 1.49 WHIP at AA. Not impressive.
  21. Call the Yankees up and ask how much it would be without the fancy box.
