    He got $10 million from the Astros. He could have gotten $15 to $20 million signing with Boston, New York, or Texas. But yeah, screw Roger Clemens for signing with his hometown team.

    If Clemens signs, then we'd have Schilling, Beckett, Clemens, Wells, and Wakefield. I'd be satisfied with that. As for O-Cab, no thanks. His .732 OPS isn't worth $8 million.

    Schilling credits Clemens for turning his career around. Also, Beckett is a Texas guy who also idolizes Clemens. Oh, and Nipper > Jeter.

    I'm sure it echoed a good majority of Yankee fans on his way out. You've all gotten over it, probably. So have Red Sox fans.

    He said that three years ago, before he signed with the Astros. The only player Clemens actually talks to is Torre (maybe). I still don't understand why Roger Clemens would choose signing with the Yankees just because of his reverance for Joe Torre.

    He could still get a $25 million dollar deal with the Yankees. He could still sign with the Astros. Not a foregone conclusion.

    The Red Sox have a completely different FO. The fact that he on bad terms with the old Red Sox FO means nothing. Basically, what you're saying is that Clemens would go back to New York, because he likes the fans? On that logic, why wouldn't he sign with the Astros? Or, the Red Sox? If he comes back to Boston, Bostonians will rename the city after Roger Clemens. So far, the Yankees have shown no flexablity to give Clemens the days off, when he does not start. The Red Sox have gone to the lengths of offering Clemens, John Henry's private plane. Also, he has nothing left to accomplish in New York. He's already won a Cy Young, and a World Series.

    Lester hasn't even thrown 50 IP at AAA. Give the kid time.

    Lester isn't ready, yet. He needs another two months at AAA ball. The Red Sox should try to develop a Mark Mulder, not a Casey Fossum.
