  1. Cesar Crespo was probably one of the worst players to ever don a Red Sox uniform. Kapler's bad, he did contribute to a World Series championship.
  2. We need to DFA Kapler. Let Murphy get some playing time.
  3. Nice stab by Cabrera. Kapler sucks.
  4. I wasn't accusing you of anything, but read the "WOW RED SUX" thread. You'll understand the hostility toward the Mets fans. I presume, you were refered here by Noah?
  5. C'mon guys, this probably isn't the guy from last night. (Though, a simple IP check could prove me wrong.)
  6. Yeah, but Seanez was striking out every batter he faced last year. His fastball was hitting 97 mph, and he could get people out with his secondary pitches. Meredith is different. He keeps the ball on the ground, and can get a strikeout once in awhile. The Red Sox were a bit too hasty in making that trade. Theo looks like his draft picks will do OK, but he seems to be lacking when it comes to making trades.
  7. Detroit has an early lead. 2-0. Hopefully, they can hold on.
  8. Date: Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 First Pitch: 10:05pm EDT Venue: Angel Stadium, Anaheim, California TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: Kyle Snyder 3-2 5.34 ERA http://mlb.mlb.com/images/2006/06/19/GFffTVXo.jpg Joe Saunders 4-1 3.64 ERA http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/28/284163.jpg
  9. All right big man, let's take this outside.
  10. The pitching staff let him down. His manager let him down. The offense didn't. They scored 5 runs, which is actually higher than the league average, in terms of RPG.
  11. If only David Wells was healthy all year.
  12. Timlin doesn't have a point. This team is third in MLB in runs scored. If it could pitch at all, they'd be in first place.
  13. Enough with the Cla Meredith comparisons. The guy has a 1.00 ERA in 23 IP's. He isn't damaged goods at all. (Meredith)
  14. All right big man, let's take this outside.
  15. Miner would have been a steal for Loretta
  16. At least the Yankees are happy. :dunno:
  17. BTW, I call tommorow's game thread.
  18. What? Even bad pitchers can get lucky for a month. This guy's ERA is north of 5.50. He's good?
  19. Pedro Martinez would have helped right now. Too bad he'd be on the DL, we'd be stuck with Johnson anyway.
  20. For real. This team has been to the playoffs four years in a row. This year was supposed to be a retooling year.
  21. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/news/2001/04/09/team_payrolls/ Was that sarcasm?
