  1. Boras wasn't lying. Some other team may have offered Damon, five years and $5 dollars. He had a five year deal on the table. Though, I do believe the Dodgers and Orioles were offering five years.
  2. I don't know if his ERA would be THAT low, but it would be pretty good. I liked him over Lester because he threw offspeed pitches. His best pitch is his changeup.
  3. Yeah, but his minor league track record clearly indicates that he will improve. Besides, aren't you the one who's always stressing patience when it comes to young kids? This kid already has a sub 3.00 ERA. His talent is clearly legit.
  4. I can't say I was ever overly excited in trading Anibal Sanchez. I always thought he had much higher potential then Jon Lester, but I guess it's been that kind of year. :dunno:
  5. We traded that guy for Josh Beckett? Pshh..
  6. Why are we rooting for the Twins? They happen to be competing for us in the Wild card.
  7. Seeing that you got Williams, it was a good trade to make. You got two tier one players as opposed to those four tier two and three players.
  8. He'll play in Week 1. Besides if Bell gets the starting nod in Denver, it could be a lopsided trade in favor of the other guy. Westbrook is a top ten fantasy back in leagues that count catches. His point total will likely come close to matching Johnson's.
  9. In this day and age? He'll miss a year at most.
  10. YOU'RE BREAKING THE MOJO!! BASTARD! (Seriously, if we lose it will be because Kason Gabbard is pitching, not because of BoSox34)
  11. http://forum.ggcmedia.com/images/smiles/icon_th.gif YES!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Does using a right hand when staring at Hanley count? :dunno:

  15. Williams went 6th and 7th in our drafts. Brown went 4th, and 9th in another one. How the hell are you guys getting these guys in the second round?

  17. Everyone's fast, but not everyone's 4.2 fast. Bush, has gamebreaking speed, and also is probably one of the most elusive players to ever come into this league. I'm not going to call him a Barry Sanders, because he probably isn't as durable, but he'll be an elite player. I'll admit, I thought it was annoying too, but Reggie Bush doesn't strike me as a prima donna, at least not yet. ESPN, always shoves cameras in front of people's faces, Bush responded better than, say, Terrell Owens would have.
  18. I watched him a few times, he's a very talented player, but I see more of a Julius Peppers, rather than a Reggie White. That isn't a knock, but unless you're taking a White caliber player, I don't see any justification over selecting him over Bush. Besides, the Texans went out and signed a DE, Anthony Weaver, making the selection of Williams even more diminished. The Texans, in hindsight, probably should have went with Bush/Justice/Tapp, or Bush/Kiwanuka/Trueblood. Either one of those, would have been better then the Williams/Ryans/Spencer that they had.
  19. I would too, but the talent levels of Reggie Bush and Mario Williams aren't even close. Though, the Texans should have taken Fergueson over Williams.
  20. He was also our best pitcher last year, and made 30 starts 8 in his last 10 years.
  21. This is funny.
  22. Sarasota natives, Sam Shields and Baraka Atkins make two crucial mistakes. Thank god. We're spared a week of bukkation on those two by the Trib.
  23. After a rough start, Natale is starting to adjust well to Wilmington. .282/.422/.398/.820. This guy has walked 101 times this year.
  24. This one's from a ten team fantasy league QB: Eli Manning WR: Steve Smith WR: Hines Ward RB: Reuben Droughns RB: Rudi Johnson TE: Ben Watson WR/RB: Brian Westbrook K: Josh Brown DEF: Seattle BN: Trent Green BN: Ahman Green BN: Mushin Muhammed BN: Braylon Edwards BN: Kellen Winslow Jr.
