  1. When he was healthy, he was pitching like it was '04. You're kicking the man who was pitching when his elbow was completely f***ed. Injuries had EVERYTHING to do with this injury.
  2. They just don't suck, but they may be the prime example fo why governments can't be trusted with anything.
  3. You contradict yourself with your second sentence. You say Bonds is the EXAMPLE of the book. What's the problem? Steriods. So, in absolute reality, the book is about steriods, with a mention of Bonds in order to generate interest.
  4. They put Bonds on the cover, they hype the book up based on the fact that they have evidence on Barry Bonds using steriods. Hell, even SI wrote an article about Barry Bonds and the book. Yet, when I opened the book, I read about how Victor Conte called people NOOBS on an steriod internet forum. Bonds was supposed to be the main subject, he wasn't. That was disappointing. BALCO has a very, very, very, small link to Barry Bonds. He's one chain in that link. As for the book bothering me, not really. I really could care less what Bonds puts into his body, neither should Congress for that matter. This year, Barry Bonds looked like a good teammate. I don't know if there were any blowups, but no one reported anything. (Which should be impossible to miss, because ESPN assigned a reporter) Why exactly is it annoying? And really, you'd think the Red Sox players would be able to adjust to constant media attention. Look at the situation, now. Barry Bonds took steriods when there was no rule against it. Most players say that up to 50% of baseball players use steriods. Why is Bonds the only one who gets blasted? Look, love Barry Bonds or hate him, (I think he's a dick) but the guy can flat-out hit a baseball. With Bonds on this team, the Red Sox immediately become a playoff contender. A little fixing up with the bullpen, and this team is a World Series contender. So, go ahead, try to convince yourselves that Wily Mo Pena will hit 40 HR's. I'll take the sure thing.
  5. I didn't bring it up. You did to prove a point. Anyway, isn't it funny how those guys refuse to name their sources? Yeah, they'll need another piece of evidence from someone close to Greg Anderson. Weak. These guys are out to make a buck. Which is exactly why playing DH, will help him out. Even if he puts up a .950 OPS, he's still in the top echelon of hitters in the game. It's a message board, which means we can all bring up a free flow of ideas, if you don't like it, quit responding, but I'm sure there are other people who would like talk about the possiblity of Barry Bonds in Boston. Oh, and knock it off with the condescending responses.
  6. f*** Scott Boras, only doing his job.
  7. Yeah, that 1.000 OPS really sucked last year.
  8. Yes. Not often you're able to add a player of that impact for just cash. This won't even by a long term deal. The Red Sox would be nuts, if they didn't try for him. Especially, if he winds up a couple hundred miles elsewhere.
  9. Miguel Tejada, Michael Young, Orlando Cabrera, and Omar Vizquel could be available for trade.
  10. Oddest thread ever: http://boards.yesnetwork.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114171
  11. Fox allows 50 Cent and Eminem to dish out lyrics such as "bitch", "nigga", and "ho." Yet, Steve Lyons is fired for an alleged racial crack. Where's the outrage about this?
  12. BC has the 11th toughest schedule? Was that before the year started?
  13. I'd say 15-18. I want to see Buchholtz and Bowden adapt to higher levels, before calling them stars.
  14. Maybe it's the fact that he had pine tar on his hands?
  15. And could possibly hit 200 HR's.
