  1. 7/26/06 @ Baltimore (Game 101) - 10 runs Season to date - 637 runs Projection to allow - 1021 runs
  2. If the Devil Rays are around for another 92 years, they will have lost their 10,000th game.
  3. The worst pitching staff in the history of baseball, is taking it on the chin again against Baltimore. They have allowed a grand total of 627 runs this season, which puts them on pace for allowing 1,015 runs. If they reach that hallowed mark, it would make them the only team in the history of Major League Baseball, to allow that many runs. I'm creating this thread in their honor, to keep track of the runs allowed. So far, they've allowed six against Baltimore, through only three innings. Edwin Jackson is pitching, along with rest of the Tampa Bay bullpen. If they surrender another four runs, this would be their 18th ten run game allowed.
  4. Read the whole thing for once.
  5. The market for relievers just went up.
  6. Gutty, gritty, Elarton works out of a 2nd and 3rd jam.
  7. BC Youkilis with the only two hits.
  8. If the Yankees don't win by more than 10, I'll be disappointed.
  9. That looked gone. What the f*** happened to that ball?
  10. His real value lies in his ability to hit left-handed pitching, he owns a .296/.379/.509/.888 line against them. I don't recall him ever getting rave reviews for his fielding. He has a career range factor that is lower than the league average. However, he almost certaintly can play the corners better than Wily Mo Pena, and would be a nice bat off the bench. If acquiring him means selling low on Pena, then forget it.
  11. This is the worst idea in the history of TV programming. I can't believe ESPN has sunk this f***ing low. Mastrubating with sandpaper > Listing to a UNC grad trying to be black. (Adam Sandler is not funny)
  12. Lester surrenders a bomb, and ESPN zooms in on his dad. Classy.
  13. So am I. I still think Wily Mo is going to be a 30 HR guy, but it won't be with the Red Sox. Even if Wily Mo did hit 30 HR's, Coco is so good in the field, it outweighs that. Props to Coco.
  14. I think he winds back up in Chicago. I don't like his 4.0 BB/9 ratio, but I think we should consider it. (Not at $15,000,000, however)
  15. Playing devil's advocate, but do you feel confident that Kason Gabbard/Tim Wakefield/Curt Schilling will be able to get the ball to Papelbon with a 2-1 lead? I think that if we have a guy in our organization who can start, and start very effectively, then his value is enhanced in a position in which he gets the most outs.
  16. Your team was way too talented to play this far back.
  17. You can hope for a phyrric victory.
  18. I yield first place to ORS.
  19. I'd respond, but I'm in fear of a shakedown from our lawyer friend.
  20. We could try Okajima for one year, and then go for K-Rod.
  21. My mistake. Cordero, or Rivera? (The latter has a very small chance of happening)
  22. Varitek - $10,000,000 Youkilis - $400,000 Pedroia - $400,000 Lugo - $9,000,000 Cabrera - $13,000,000 (est.) Ramirez - $20,000,000 Crisp - $5,000,000 Drew - $14,000,000 Ortiz - $12,000,000 Beckett - $10,000,000 Matsuzaka - $8,000,000 Papelbon - $400,000 Willis - $8,000,000 (est.) Gabbard - $400,000 Cordero - $10,000,000 Okajima - $1,000,000 Donnelly - $2,000,000 Delcarmen - $400,000 Gives you about $25 million to fill the rest of the holes. I wonder what it would take if Dontrelle Willis wasn't involved?
