  1. I'd give the slight edge to Cano, because of his glove. They're pretty much a wash offensively. Pedroia's .040 points in OBP is probably worth more than Cano's .050 points in SLG%, but probably not much more. Every fielding metric I've looked at, has Cano as a very good defensive player. Pedroia rates as average to above average. I'd say Cano is probably worth an extra win, at the most.
  2. In what context?
  3. If I hear another pundit say he can't adjust to the 8th inning, I am going to kill someone. If there is any validity to that at all, then major league pitchers are the biggest pussies in the history of the world. Seriously, what the f***? Okajima, pitches in the 7th inning instead of the 8th, and all of the sudden he can't be an effective pitcher? Why? Why do people use this as an excuse? I find it so f***ing stupid, that the person who made it up, should be shot. (I bet he was Joe Morgan, or someone else on the BBTN crew)
  4. Arguing balls and strikes.
  5. That's only funny when Manny is hitting 40 HR's a year.
  6. f***. I was hoping I could get the Guardians bet in.
  7. OK, you can pull him now.
  8. Yeah, this coincides with the Buccaneers knocking off the Patriots, but regardless, the 2007 NFL season is underway. Despite the strong showing of the Bucs, this will be the high point of their season. Sometime in January, the hopes of Buccaneers fans will rise slightly, when Jon Gruden is fired, or at the least, loses his input in personnel moves. Anyway, I have the Patriots winning the Super Bowl. The Bears will represent the NFC. The division winners will be the Patriots, Chargers, Colts, and Bengals. The Ravens and Chiefs will win the Wild Card spots. In the NFC, I have the Eagles, Bears, Saints, and Seahawks. The two Wild Cards will be Cowboys, and the Rams. Thoughts? Predictions? Gruden bashing?
  9. #758. At least we have awesome team chemistry.
  10. You're not missing much. Fitzy is excited, and then he burps. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.
  11. What was your BAC when you thought this was funny? I'll try to match it, and see if I can crack a smile.
  12. No, he'll pitch in 1/3 of an inning, not be used in over a month, and then will serve a grand slam up to the Orioles. Joe Torre will then conclude that young players will never succeed, which will earn him the adulation of a700hitter, Joe Morgan, and Dusty Baker.
  13. He'll likely pitch in 1/3 of an inning, for the rest of the year.
  14. Was the guy on the left in Bad Santa?
  15. I think everyone one of us has had a similar reaction. For example, what was your reaction when Derek Jeter was crushed by Ken Huckaby on Opening Day 2003? Out loud? In head?
  16. In terms of class, or in terms of being better?
  17. Reggie Miller to the Celtics
  18. Congrats Barry. Can the Giants trade you now? We could use your .495 OBP.
