How about anyone who made over 5 million/year in 2003 was doing it? Let me ask this... The "Yankee Dynasty" of the late 90's, hmmm, kinda coincided with the entire steroid explosion. Coincidence? Has Jeter been juicing just like Arod and Nomar? Nawwwww. Couldn't be. I just hope the list comes out.

I say go after him asap. Offer him 21,111,111.11 million and tell him he won't have to pitch unitl the All Star break. Then trade him and cash at the deadline for whatever the team needs. (If it's starting pitching they need, then obvously keep him). When the season's over give the number 21 to Papelbon or Lester. -

I don't mind this signing. I'm absolutely shocked he's still only 30 years old. I always thought he was like 36. If you listen to that Theo interview from today, his philosophy on bullpens/relievers is to try and pick them up after a bad year. Sounds funny, but the logic is to get these guys for rebound years and not pay a lot for a guy who had a good year last year. So based on that logic, watch Seanez have 30 saves this year...

Nope. I think it's in the bullpen. if you go out to weei.com/audio vault/ Dale and holley/ theo interview and slide to the 15:00 minute mark in the audio file, you'll hear him say "we're gonna have 2 acquisitions in the bullpen fairly shortly - possibly as soon as today......" That was right before the Donnelly announcement. So who knows? :dunno:

I don't think it's a matter of who did steroids - i think everyone did them. But I think it's a matter of who can survive and actually have a good career in baseball without them. I don't think everyone can just switch to HGH (or they may choose not to). Either way, they are a different animal. Not everyone will make it.

There's just a s*** load of guys like that. It's not normal. You can look at the stats of 2002 and players "entering their prime" and where they are now and it's amazing.

Anyone else sorta notice that after 2003 when the whole steroid testing thing really kicked in, a LOT of careers went down the shitter? Some waited another year or so to fall, but I think you can make this connection. If I could draw a line in the sand on steroids and the crackdown, I would look at marginal guys like Pineiro, Foulke, Nixon etc. and how they have fallen since. Pineiro is one of those guys. Not a good pick up. My opinion only.
