  1. Yup. I'm watching the Colorado feed and that's all they're harping on.
  2. Thanks for the info. I'll post a bio tomorrow (it' will give me something to do at work!) because the game is starting.
  3. FIX THAT DAMN HAT
  4. I'll take Charlie Zink, though I have no idea how to follow him. I'm in GA. I'll try though.
  5. wow. nice avitar! I can watch that all day long!
  6. How is that any different than the respect you're giving Youkilis? Giving playing time this year based on a single month of performance is a dangerous thing to do....
  7. A hit would have been better Nice to know his D is a non-issue...
  8. Oy.. about 2 more weeks till the next Sox/Yanks series and the Moose and Brown are hurt. Nomar's here and Nixon should be back. Lowe's coming around and Williamson is too. I can't wait!
  9. I'll be the first to agree that Youk's done a fine job, but this is the Majors... and Billy Mueller is the American League Batting Champion of 2003. He has earned every right to start when he returns. Youk has yet to earn anything other than our respect as a prospect. Billy is the 3rd Baseman. He should be back (I think) 6 weeks retroactive to the date of the surgery.
  10. yeah, good loss by the Yanks, good win by the sox. I was SO ready to bash Blowhorn, but he saved Manny, so i'm ok with him for tonight!
  11. I don't need the money, cuz I'm a pimp. But sign me up for sh!ts and giggles.
  12. Hey, if Pedro can pitch like that every start, give him what he wants. He can't - although I'd love nothing more.
  13. ^^ Is that for real?
  14. See? Reese just saved Pedro some pitches. Bellhorn actually got to one too!
  15. I've heard them say 92 a couple of times, but I see it going 93 later one.
  16. If the first baseman made his play, Bellhorn would have been nothing more than a loud out.
  17. Check out the video links on the right of some of the picks. That's pretty cool! Yeah, why did we get so low in the draft? Schilling and Faulke?
  18. See the 2004 Red Sox draft picks here A lot of pitching it seems.
  19. Lowe needs to work his problems out in the rotation. He'll be fine, eventually. No need to stick him in the pen. See today's game for confirmation... Lowe could have gone 6 and gotten a "quality start" but Frank pulled him. He didn't quite suck as bad as you suggest.
  20. If ya jump off the Pedro bandwagon, you're not allowed back on. Remember??? (so watch it!) Of all the guys I'd resign based on talent, I'd keep Nomar and Tek. Nomar because I think of all the guys, he's the most dangerous. Tek I'm really torn on. I've been reading you tout Shoppach for forever and I believe you. But Tek's not washed up. Hardly. I see a good 3-4 more good years in him believe it or not. I think his contributions off the field DO mean something. But 10 million is too much. It's just hard to see him go. I hate change - even if it's for the better.
  21. I 100% agree with you. And well said. But if you lose Fenway, you lose a huge piece of Red Sox nostalgia, therefore fanbase, therefore ticket sales, therefore revenue. There has to be a way to win at the Fens. Sure, the park has worked against the Sox at times, but most of their "heartbreakers" in the playoffs have been on the road and because of bad calls (managers included), pitching and plays. Not because of the field.
