  1. Who cares? The RISP numbers aren't even close. Jeter has been way more productive with RISP this year than Ortiz.
  2. Pff, what's the fun in arguing that? I think there's way too much arguing over whether Yankee fans are allowed to have an opinion, or God forbid, celebrate the team's success. The Yankee thread is there for Yankee discussion. That includes the Yankees winning the division. Why would you get all upset about it? By being bitchy, is it going to change anything? From what I've seen the Yankee fans have not been going out of their way to be obnoxious about it. It's a Sox message board. BFD. That doesn't mean is reasonable to start sensoring Yankee fans.
  3. Hopefully the Jets can steal a game from the Colts or Jaguars in their next two, and then take care of Miami, Detroit and Cleveland going into the Bye.
  4. Probably Ortiz, despite the Jeter flack of late. The guy is lovable and simply rakes.
  5. This is what I got on A-Rod's fantasy news and notes on Yahoo. They're not trading A-Rod anyway. It's a non issue.
  6. http://www.jurassicdvd.com/catalog/images/SourGrapes.jpg In other news, I hit on the raffle for playoff tickets. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not I go to the ALDS or spend a little more for the ALCS.
  7. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/09/19/arod0925/index.html I just heard about it, but have yet to thumb through it. Apparently controversial.
  8. I love the way Wang is running the Islanders. He's like Kim Jong Il running North Korea. 26 years since a championship, and counting!
  9. Hey Ortiz, why don't you try hitting with someone other than Ramirez behind you? Oh wait, you did. Yeah, not a product of the lineup at all. Meanwhile Jeter is a consistent .317 career hitter, from his rookie of the year campaign in '96 to this year in '06. Barking up the wrong tree there Papi.
  10. I wish I could say it was my expert managerial moves that got Javy and Duque to put up those numbers, but I was just lucky as hell.
  11. What's up with that logo?
  12. This is actually a popular question, I was asking my dad what he thought about it the other day. He was of the ilk that didn't mind keeping Melky and trying to trade Matsui. I don't think that works, since Matsui is a soldier and the PR and marketing would go to hell in Japan. I say the 2007 team has Cabrera as the 4th outfielder and if Giambi permits, perhaps allow Matsui to DH more often.

  14. Apparently not, as the Jets and Seahawks are the only ones who had any interest. It would be pretty stupid to 'franchise' a receiver who has never had over 1,000 yards. He's not worth the a first rounder, nor the two the Patriots are apparently holding out for. Ladanian Tomlinson, Reggie Bush, Larry Johnson and Shaun Alexander. That's the list of guys worth 2 first rounders.
  15. Well then enjoy no WR in 2006, and nothing to show for it in 2007.
  16. After his first 23 ABs in the MLB, Robinson Cano's batting average was .087. This year it sits at a comfy .332, so relax.
  17. No way I'm giving up Adrian Peterson and McCariens for Branch. Take your second rounder and be grateful.
  18. McCairens and a pick to the Pats for Branch? I think it would work for both sides. Make this happen, Tannenbaum!
  19. Is it really all that impossible for Rodriguez to carry this team? I mean the guy is one of the best players of this generation. Don't suffer from 'head up your ass' syndrome.
  20. He was the MVP. He led in almost every major statistical category. This year, notsomuch. However 2006 doesn't change 2005's stats or circumstances one bit.

  22. This year his "guy" has been better.
  23. If the Texans tank again, they'll have the chance to pick up a very good DE. They won't have the chance to get a Reggie Bush.
