  1. Here we go boys. Millar just score, bases still juiced, down 1.
  2. Yeah, he ripped a foul ball off his knee.
  3. That's probably because he was facing the Red Sox. Now he's playing for the best team in baseball, against the Blue Jays.
  4. http://www.baseball-almanac.com
  5. Johnny's 5-5 through 8 innings. Welcome back sir. Also, Ortiz got his 1st homerun of the season..first of many to come.
  6. This is a tough one. Every time Bonds takes a swing, it's not a homerun. Obviously. So he has talent. That's a given. But how talented would he be if he wasn't doing steroids? I'd say very talented. He's a monster. And if you haven't noticed, hitting homeruns isn't as difficult as it used to be. If one is found using steroids...they should be banned from playing. From baseball for life? I don't think so. I am going to reitterate that I don't think Bonds is shooting up. I think Giambi is (was). Giambi should be stricken from the records book and banned from baseball for life. And if he's doing steroids...then they should just shoot him. Damn *******.
  7. Actually, he's only 28.
  8. The pride of my collection is probably either my Nomar Team USA rookie or my Hanley Ramirez Chrome Autograph.
  9. Oh, I wasn't happy to see Millar on the ground, I was just happier that it was him and not Damon. Millar can and will recover. If Johnny takes another hit like that, who knows what'll happen.
  10. If I'm not mistaken roary, he was the top international prospect/free agent this year, and among the top japanese players..
  11. I like them both, but then I'm a pretty positive guy. I've been looking forward to Reese, but Bellhorn's been great. Let's all keep in mind, however, that it has been two games.
  12. What channel is that on? I have to tape that, comedy is my favorite type of show. We've already argued about Pedro's start, so we don't need to further discuss the fact that he was pretty dominating, considering the weather. Curt Schilling is 39? Who'd a thunk it?
  13. I agree with the injury prone part. I believe Tito WILL lay down the law, and if Pedro doesn't like it, then we'll lose him after next season. Sox don't want to pay him what he wants, that's fine by me. But I say let's keep one of the most dominating pitchers of all time while he's dominating, win the whole frikkin thing with him, and then after that, we'll see.
  14. Whoever the next batter was struck out, end of inning. But god damn that is still sick.
  15. I was very happy to see Millar on the ground and not Damon. No offense to Millar, but I believe there's a limit to how many hits to the head you can take. And considering how hard Johnny got hit before, I don't think he can afford too many more.
  16. Sure, it could be either. That's how you would say it if you're introducing yourself. "Me llamo Ben." But the way he said it, he's just sort of naming himself. It's like saying, "My last name is..." except he used it for first name. In conversational Spanish, I believe you would say "me llamo" but in the case where this is an English speaking board, and I'm sure no one cares enough to look up what's actually correct, "mi nombre es" is fine by me. Of course this is a B- Spanish student speaking.
  17. Kazuo Matsui tonight: 3-3, 2 BB, HR, 3 RBI. Let's break it down, shall we? 1st AB: Homerun first pitch he sees. That's right. First ML AB, 1st pitch, gone. Impressive, could be just luck. Let's continue. 2nd AB: Double, RBI. Okay, but I mean, could be coincidence. He can't be that good, can he? We'll get back to that. 3rd AB: Walk with Bases loaded, RBI. Luck. Talentless. 4th AB: Double. Ummm, okay, I think you've shown us your goods. What do you think, Alfonseca? 5th AB: Intentional Walk. That's right folks. Sing it with me. R-e-s-p-e-c-t. An intentional walk, to load the bases. Did I mention it was his first major league game? Getting back to my previous question, yes, he can be that good. Welcome to the Big Leagues.
  18. Very good game. Congrats to Tito. How about the Millah Damon collision. Oy.
  19. A must-win situation for Schilling? I think not. A must-not-blowit situation for Foulke? You better believe it. He blows this one, Theo's going to have to seriously reconsider the decision he made this offseason. Timlin in the 8th, Williamson in the 9th anyone? You're damn right. Prediction: Schilling goes 8, 5 H, 2 ER, 10 K's, 1 BB. Foulke comes in, 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 K, 1 BB. If McCarty is brought in to hit anytime this game, HR.
  20. Would that be a record for the oldest pitching staff in baseball history? Who'd we have to give up to get Johnson?
  21. VERY cool feature!
  22. Skill aside, Manny and Nomar are part of the team. Them two and Pedro have been the dynamic trio for the past few years, and losing two of them could kill the team. A-Rod would not have fit in on the team. I do like Magglio, but A-rod's payroll gives me an aneurysm just thinking about it. Say it with me folks, "A-Rod is an A-Hole!"
  23. Well, yeah, if he stays healthy.
  24. Oh man, I was just totally thinking that Hank had 714, my bad. I meant he'll pass Ruth.
  25. I like both. But if we can get out of Bronson the same we get out of Kim, I say go with Bronson. Once again, simply because of money. We could trade Kim. A lot of teams would love to have him.
