  1. Westbrook has been nothing short of dominating his last two appearances. April 19: 7 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 7 K April 25: 9 IP, 2 H, 3 BB, 2 ER, 3 K They were both against Detroit.
  2. Let's try to win one, eh?
  3. My problem isn't that we have Crespo (thought I don't think he should be on the roster). My problem is that that at-bat was SUPPOSED to be McCarty's. Dave pinch hit earlier, got on base, and then was run for. NOT SMART. Keep McCarty in, because that was supposed to be his at-bat, and he may actually have gotten a hit.
  4. And that'll do it. A clean sweep by the Texas Rangers unless the Sox can make up a 4 run deficit. Now is when i shut off the game.
  5. That was a great post, "Albert." Quick question though: You said you were a father going to mothers against drunk driving (MADD). How does that work for you? Also, tapes and brochures in your trunk? Not doing it for me. Funny, but no.
  6. As for NESN Hi-def, it is available through comcast channel 881 (or 882) for all home games.
  7. It's kinda cool when the games are broadcast on ESPN, but only when they're in Hi-Def. Anyone know if that's the case tonight? (Personally, I still prefer NESN)
  8. Maybe from now on, everytime it's Barry's turn to bat, they should just add a run to the score board, and make him sit down.
  9. I read in the Globe today that we could have Nomar back end of May.
  10. Who do you all prefer: Orsillo/Remy or McDonough/Remy? I only ask because Sean McDonough gets on my nerves. I like Orsillo a lot more.
  11. Pedro's Numbers 4 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 4.17 Season ERA. I'm gonna say that I'm not so happy.
  12. Check that. 4-1 Texas. Ouch.
  13. Thought I'd start this one. Pedro gave up a first inning HR to Blalock, has been okay since then.
  14. Oh well. No one deserves that loss, but whatever. It's too bad that the bullpen had to give up all their runs from the past 33 innings today.
  15. Barry today: 0-1, FOUR INTENTIONAL WALKS. The most dangerous hitter in baseball is not going to be given a chance to hit.
  16. I'm a little upset the double header is so late. It would have been nice if it was 2 then 6, not 6 then 10. Oh well.
  17. Rain delay? Goddamnit, I need my fix!
  18. From what I've heard, he is 1 game over .500 in his coaching career, but as has been said, it was with a pretty crappy team. I may have to follow the celtics next year. I'm gonna admit I didn't watch a single game this year.
  19. Since I guess this is kinda a Bonds thread, I'll just mention that he hit another one this evening, going 1-2 with 2 walks.
  20. He's playing the Cubs today, and through 3 innings, he has 7 K's, and has only given up one hit. Who got the hit? His opposing starter - Carlos Zambrano. Do the math - the complete game at this rate will give him 21 K's.
  21. The site's kinda nice. I Think the coolest part were the game logs, although there were only two.
  22. Except for a bunch of off days in a row caused by rain. That's worse. Or cancer.
  23. He hasn't been great this year, but I like the guy anyway. Hopefully he'll be back to play a few more games.
  24. It's fun having a team with 3 potential closers (Williamson, Timlin, and oh yeah, Foulke) and 3 potential aces (Petey, Schilling, DLowe). It's a good thing the Blue Jays are starting to come around and the O's are starting to realize their lack of pitching. Baltie was starting to scare me.
  25. A sweep of the Yankees will make my life. Oh man. Something else that makes me happy is watching the Yankee fans boo their own team. Beautiful.
