  1. I could never guess by your posts on Netsports. Anyways, always nice to have a new Nation member.
  2. Didn't see the game tonight but I like what I read. Also love all the MFY fans freaking out (NYYfans.com and Netsports). Should be a good game tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
  3. It's the same with those Canadiens too!
  4. Tonight's starting lineups (via SoSH): BOSTON NY YANKEES Johnny Damon CF. Bubba Crosby CF Bill Mueller 3B Derek Jeter SS David Ortiz 1B Alex Rodriguez 3B Manny Ramirez LF Jason Giambi 1B Ellis Burks DH Gary Sheffield RF Jason Varitek C Hideki Matsui LF Kevin Millar RF Bernie Williams DH Mark Bellhorn 2B John Flaherty C Pokey Reese SS Enrique Wilson 2B Derek Lowe RHP Jose Contreras RHP
  5. It's funny you mention that. That same thing happened a few times in the playoffs last year.
  6. Yeah I know. Anyways, welcome to the site. Make yourself at home.
  7. Hey man and welcome.
  8. Yeah definitely. I mean the passion isn't nearly as big as the passion by the Red Sox Nation, but it's up there. The Marlins are on the front page now in April instead of the Miami Dolphins draft talk. The fans also have really become attached to Willis and Cabrera. I'm looking forward to going down to Miami for a game to see the atmosphere of the ballpark. BTW- In case you were wondering, I hope the best for the Marlins but the Red Sox are my complete passion.
  9. Glad to have you here.
  10. O man the Monster Seats looks so awesome. I want to sit up there very, very badly. But just like any ballpark the seats behind homeplate and on the 1st and 3rd baselinesare probably the best. The right field roof seats are probably also good.
  11. Yeah I've watched most of their games and must say I'm impressed. This team can definitely make the playoffs this year. And remember that Darren Oliver will be replaced by AJ Burnett in a month or two, Jeff Conine is in a slump, and Juan Pierre hasn't stolen a base. So this team can even improve.
  12. I don't care what people say about the steroid scandals, Bonds is the most exciting player in the game in my mind. Every time he comes up you expect him to hit a homerun. That sense of anticipation is exciting to me.
  13. I'd like to get off to a good start tonight. The Sox have man-handled the "Cuban Conman" in the past and I see no reason for there to be any difference tonight. Lowe needs to pitch much better than last time and prove why he's one of the most consistent pitchers in the league. I dunno why but I expect a breakout series from Millar this weekend. He seems due. Let's sweep the MFY in their house. BTW- I've read (SoSH) that Vasquez will most likely be starting Sunday. It makes me feel good to see that the MFY are moving him up just to pitch a game in April.
  14. Eh will give them one.
  15. Chris Gomez? I think Tito left Schilling in a little long.
  16. Let's get out with an easy win to secure the sweep tonight. Blow 'em out so we don't use Foulke and the whole bullpen is rested for the Yankees. The Sox had some trouble with Batista last time but I wouldn't count on any trouble this time. I'm kinda happy this series is ending because this Toronto crowd is putting me to sleep. Even Remy and Orsillo/McDonough seem alseep.
  17. You can call the Red Sox Doug Mirabelli tonight.
  18. Somewhere Adrian Brown, Andy Abad, Doug Mirabelli, and Lou Merloni are chanting "Li-lly!"
  19. I'd like a nice easy win and not have to worry about using Foulke or Williamson. I think the bats will come up big tonight with Wake's knuckler being awesome. A win would be huge here because we have Schilling going tomorrow night. Also, a sweep wouldn't be bad going into the Bronx. Let's try to actually have some replies tonight.
  20. Well it's a rematch of 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it will have the same outcome. Bellhorn is expected to be in the lineup today. I looked at the probable Sox starters for this series (Pedro, Wake, Schilling) and I must say I don't see why we can't sweep this series. Let's get out to a good start tonight.
  21. Umm not to much action in this thread today, I guess. I wasn't home to watch the game but from what I read, Lowe and Malaska sucked but Seibel and Castillo did well. I can't really blame Lowe because he was pitching on 10 days rest. That's gotta throw you out of wack. The only good thing was A-Rod is still hitless, but that really doesn't matter if we don't win. You kinda gotta expect a split tomorrow with Arroyo vs. Brown. But who knows? We could rock Brown or Arroyo be dominant.
  22. Can we embarrass the Yankees once again? The Sox have had some trouble against Contreras I think in the past but hopefully they can get to him today. Lowe has looked good so far this season. I think the Red Sox can blow them out here. It's only April and I'm still so pumped for this game. Should be fun.
  23. I wouldn't worry too much about it. He has great control so I think it's just that he needs to get into the groove. I mean he's only 3 starts into the season. He'll have those Cy Young numbers in a few starts. It's not like he's been getting shelled, we just expect him to throw a perfect game every time out.
