    Well now all the team websites are run by MLB.com so we're not gonna get the quality insider stuff we did before. I'm not too disappointed though considering there are still tons of great Sox sites on the web.

    I agree but it's not like baseball is the only sport swirling around controversy right now.

    I agree. I'm very excited to see Foulke pitch after all that anticipation of him signing here. I think he should do fine. Maybe he can prove people wrong that his tandem of only fastball and changeup can get hitters out.

    I wish all these former ballplayers like McDowell and Jim Palmer would just keep there traps shut about the steroid situation. To be honest I really could care less about shattered records and asterisks and all that crap. I like watchin home runs. I'll admit it. I'm not saying every ballplayer should be taking steroids or any ballplayer should but I'm just saying it wouldn't make me think less of the ballplayer if he did take steroids.

    Curt definitely seems like a very motivated individual. The RSN has already christened him as our son and we all hope he lives up to his expectations.

    I just remembered something about this series that could be good for Schilling but bad for Pedro. The last time the Sox met the O's in the first series of the season (in Baltimore), the first game was lost, but something special happened in the second game. A 2nd no hitter by Hideo Nomo. Maybe Schilling will repepeat history?

    Unfortunately I don't think Petey will be dominant Sunday night. The forecast calls for it to be rainy and cold so that surely won't help him. I see him going 6-7 innings while giving up 2-3 runs with the Sox offense backing him up for the win.

    With Nomar and Trot out till May, how will our offense (and defense) produce with these two big bats gone from the lineup? Reese will play SS and Bellhorn will play 2B most of the time (with Febles/Crespo filling in sometimes) and I'm guessing Tito is going to figure out a rotaion involving Millar, Ortiz, Burks, and Kapler. Unfortunately if you look at our schedule, virtually all of our games are against division foes. Just thankfully these injuries happened now and not August or September.

    So very true. Since Foulke, Petey, and pretty much the rest of the bullpen has been struggling this spring I think we shouldn't really think twice about it. We know (and hope) everybody will do their jobs once the season comes.

    All that matters is that this dinger was in an actual major league ballpark. I just hope Mueller's elbow is ok after that error.

    We make an annual summer trip to Boston and I will be seeing the last game of the Padres series and first 2 games of the Dodger series in mid-June. Needless to say I'm pumped.
