Yes, but I'd say you actually have a bit more to grab onto with "clutch" than with the other phantoms...

And I’m not wild about the term “core”.  It seems to have too many negative meanings.  It makes me think of apples and nuclear reactors, both of which have cores that are not good.

 

For teams, I prefer the term “foundation.” But I won’t complain if people say core, as it is easier to type.  I’ll just assume the folks who use core are horrifically lazy…

For large parts of it.  But there’s one fellow who defines it “performance in the post-season and Red Sox-Yankee games.”  That feels a bit personal…

If you're stating something as fact, the onus is on you to prove the fact. I just questioned why the surety. And while I agree mlb-ready is a loose term, I quantified it by saying I haven't seen any evaluators say that he is ready to start the season in the big leagues. Something, I too, feel is pretty obvious.
