That’s the one sport I never could get into. I just find hockey extremely boring. I attend more Wizards games per year than Caps and I get both free.

We're even because I find the NBA completely boring. In the NBA there's no 'I' in team, but there's a lot of 'me's.'

Duran would have to get very hot, but he could catch Devers in HRs, RBI's , BA and OPS.   Realistically, Jarren will be #2 to the  $300+ million dollar man in some  categories.

Keep in mind that Tyler O'neill has 50 RBI's on 25 HR's.   When the Sox have a team flight or dinner, does Tyler go SOLO ?

Imho, the era of Bird and Magic was awesome and the best period the NBA ever had. It will never be duplicated.

Agree both were terrific, but MJ was at least as good, plus he won more NBA titles (6 total, plus he missed 1 or 2 seasons by playing baseball instead) and was a better defensive player than either.  Larry or Magic.

The three has changed the game, enough so that when the USA Mens team were in danger of losing to Serbia in the semi-finals, Stephen Curry put on a clinic none of Bird, Magic, or MJ was capable of.  He also helped in the finals against France.

I'm not that big a LeBron fan, but he too--and just short of his 40th birthday--was fantastic in the Olympics.  He is a valid competitor for the GOAT label.

Back to Magic.   In his rookie year in the NBA with the Lakers, Kareem couldn't play in game 6 , so Magic played center and the Lakers won.  Had he stayed at MSU, this would have been his junior year in college.

Houck kept them close after surrendering the Grand Slam , LOL .    Now can the BP do the same. ?  There are plenty more rallyy killing DP's waiting, but can someone,  ANYONE, hit a damn HR on this team ?

More little league baseball

unwatchable team

Oh, just shut the heck up.  If the Sox are unwatchable, then we beg you to please, please stop watching because you say "unwatchable" on almost every game thread.

The Sox are a whole lot more watchable than you are.

Devers, 6 for last 50 per OBie.    The indisputable math says that is a .120 BA, but I'm sure his OPS is much higher.  Maybe not.  The indomitable Devers has sadly fallen out of the .900 OPS club with this little slump.

If it is the shoulder(s) , then STFD ,    If it isn't then that is really  sad.

The quality of Dever’s ABs is abysmal .His head is not with the programme

He’s checked out like the rest of the team. I can’t blame them. The team has sucked since the ASB. They use to do this crap every year until 2004. Now they are pulling the same crap again. Start fast; tease the fans; then fall apart in the second half reducing us to cheering for whoever the Bankees are playing against.

All you have to do to strike Wong out is throw the ball a foot outside

I disagree about Yoshida, but have to admit the Sox as a team seem especially bad at pitch recognition.  Devers actually seems to prefer to swing at bad pitches and stare at those down the middle.

Devers had a not so good September last season also.
