NO!

Nice that Cora knew to start Wong against Mullins- not noodle arm Plawecki!

Rays stole a couple off of Wong. I don't disagree that some catchers have a quicker releases and better arms than other catchers. But some pitchers are better than others at preventing SB's.

With Bello's excellent change-up, maybe the hardest pitch to perfect, and believing that he will improve his command of the fastball, he's gonna be something special. Could Bello be the best starting pitcher to come thru the farm since Buchholz? I think so, but stay tuned.

I was mocking the poster that wanted Plawecki yanked mid inning to stop a base stealer and blamed Cora for not doing what no other manager has ever done.

(Should mocking be put in blue?)

Not mid-inning Moon man; he should have been yanked when Wacha was done. But I understand criticizing your cult leader is difficult.

You should just stick to numbers.

Bullpen, Bullpen, Bullpen

I don't think Cora is one of the top Managers and he is really poorly suited to a club like this.

But this team was doomed to be a mediocre or worse team from the start. Their only shot at any post season activity was through the expanded post season and they could not even manage that.

It is what it is folks.

I get that… but literally everyone was rested.. if you want to actually win this game, why would you put in AAAA bum with a near 7 ERA?

Bello looked good.

Maybe left him in too long.

I actually think the plethora of arms out in the pen only benefits teams that are truly pitching biased. We have never been pitching biased developmentally and we have never been all that amped up about bullpens in spite of the direction baseball has gone.

How did we end up with so many arms in the pen. Baseball tried to turn this into a power game. They f***ed with the baseball and balls started flying all over the place and hitters started swinging for the fences every AB, every batter. Then teams told their pitchers to pitch max effort every pitch until they could not go any farther. LAAAAAAAAA

Good one, "cult leader."

I will say one thing, I criticize Cora more than you say good things about him, and just leave it at that.

Third game in a row where faux genius didn't give his team the best chance to win.

The players are not giving themselves the best chance to win. All the big guns are in the lineup and they can't hit spit. Two freaking runs in 8 freaking innings. The pitching has given up just 3 runs despite Bello, who had an excellent start, leaving with the bases full and 1 out in the 6th. All 3 of those runners scored and are charged to Bello. None of that is Bello's fault of course. Nor is it Ort's.

I'm Alex Cora and I approve of this message.

Game over. Cora simply put the wrong lineup in the game, I guess. Or maybe he shouldn't have started Bello. Or maybe pulled him after the 5th inning?

Or maybe not put in a 7 ERA sack of s*** with bases loaded with a fully rested bullpen?

Will the Red Sox play spoilers against the Yankees considering the rays are gaining ground or they’re just too terrible at this point? Thank god the nfl season is here.
