This could be the season that  Notre Dame finishes in the top 2, or 3? Wrong, wrong, and wrong again.🤭🙈

You forget, a lot, and only remember when the blind squirrel runs up the broken clock.

I didn’t forget at all. I never said I was right all the time. What fun would that be?

When did I say you said that?

Playing scarecrow, again.

ND is ranked pretty high with having an inexperienced QB. Starting the season at Miami will be an tough opener even if they had an experienced QB, so I don’t see this as being an easy season.

The running game will be crucial. Jeremiyah Love is one of best backs in country and there are 2-3 guys behind him who could start on majority of teams.

Like I said a few weeks ago ND was ranked to high with an Inexperienced QB. While ND made a good comeback this is not a top ten football team. It was said before the game how deep ND was, and that may be true, but they don’t have the talent of a year ago especially on D. Last night there was plenty of Bad play calling on both sides of the ball. As one writer after the game said they didn’t know there was a new rule put in for this year that you couldn’t throw the ball more than three yards down the field. Carr is no Leonard either, and won’t last very long trying to be a runner. New D coordinator who just kept rushing 4 after Freeman said at halftime they had to put more pressure on Beck. Love might as well sat out the first half too. Carr will have more growing pains this year like IG penalties, but he’ll get better, but still this won’t be a top ten team this year. I think Angeli should have been given a shot even before this year, but it didn’t happen.

ND is a top 10 team by season's end and looked like one, last night.

MIA is a top 10 team and we almost beat them on their home turf.

It was good to see Alabama lose to FLA St. We should be above them in the rankings, anyway.

CBS has ND 8th. Fox has us 10th.

I don’t understand the way Love was used. He got almost no touches and he’s one of best players in the sport.

Very strange gameplan. The announcer wondered if Love was hurt, but he didn't look it, later in the game.

ND is ranked 9th, right behind 2 other 0-1 teams (Texas and Clemson.)

Remaining schedule:

19 Texas A&M 9/13

Purdue 9/20

at Arkansas 9/27

Boise St 10/4

NC State 10/11

USC 10/18

at Boston College 11/1

Navy 11/8

at Pittsburgh 11/15

Syracuse 11/22

at Stanford 11/29

(No more currently top ranked teams after A&M.)

I’ll say it again. ND was overrated, and over ranked to start the season, and NOT a top ten team. Giving up 41 pts at home is just Wow!

N.D. defense has given up  68 points in two games. The pass rush is weak, just one sack so far. The secondary is weaker, cannot cover and cannot tackle. Is there any heat on the defensive coordinator, Chris Ash?

If not there should be. The D has just been plain awful, and SOFT. Aggressive man to man last year to a soft zone this year, which is a far cry  from anything resembling a good D. Word is that Freeman is getting more involved with the D this week.

ND looked like they were playing offense against a pickup team in their backyard today. It was that easy.

CJ Carr looks like the real deal and both RBs are elite.

When was the last time Ole Miss was the highest ranked SEC team? (#4)

No Alabama, Georgia or LSU in the top 9!

(TX A&M is #6 and Texas is #9.)

I'd love to see Vandy knock off ALA, this weekend.

I didn’t see the ND game yesterday, but it looks like the Notre Dame D is really stepping it up.

I saw the game. It was a good win over a fairly decent opponent. But the game was marred by a constant throwing of penalty flags by the officials. Made it hard to really get into it.

Another win for the Domers. They play USC at South Bend, next week.

The schedule is pretty easy, so a playoff slot may be in the works.

NBC/Comcast chose to put the Notre Dame game exclusively on it's pay subscription streaming service, Peacock , while NBC televised women's volleyball. I don't know if this was meant to disrespect Notre Dame football or just another stupid decision by NBC/ Comcast or  maybe  a cheap attempt to coerce people into subscribing to Peacock.  Probably the latter, but either way it is another reason to despise these greedy scoundrels and think twice about giving them any more of your money.

I agree. They have put 1 ND game just on Peacock the last few years, and even though I hated missing the game I’m not giving anymore of my money to watch a game.

Love the Vandy win over LSU, today! They are for real, this year.

The #13 Domers play #20 USC at South Bend. It's their last tough game of the season, so a win should mean they are in, assuming they take care of business vs unranked teams.

Other big games, today:

#5 Ole Miss at #9 GA

#11 TN at #6 AL

That's a couple more teams ND could pass with a win. (They should pass LSU, if they win.)
