The 1, 4 and 6 teams lost!

My domers beat #4 Clemson.

TN lost to GA.

AL lost to LSU- gotta like that!

Good win for ND, but they are not going anywhere untill they get a good QB, which they don’t have.

A rare point all of us agree on.

We may make a skanky bowl due to this win.

The Irish put a good, old fashioned butt kicking on Clemson. Nothing fancy . Just physical, power football on both offense and defense. The best game they have played all year , by far.

260 yds rushing by ND, and Clemson couldn’t do a thing about it.

They opened up a can of whup ass on Clemson. Ran the ball right up the gut. Estime is tough to tackle.

The INT and return was the nail in the coffin. It was also predictable, as Clemson was desperate and had to force throws down by so much.

They still have So. Cal, which would move them up some more providing they get by Navy, and BC, but the Trojans will be tough to beat out there.

If we beat Navy & BC and lose to USC, we'll still get a skanky bowl offer.

8-4 wouldn’t deserve much else. Even tougher schedule next year adding Tenn to go with Clemson, and Ohio St. Kelly picked a good time to leave.

Only Clemson is away.

TN, OSU and USC are at home.

Understood, but except for the Clemson game home field hasn’t been any advantage this year. Still need a good QB.

Both TCU and Michigan pulled out wins and will likely remain in the top 4.

The more I watch both those teams play, the more I think they don’t deserve to be in college football playoffs. Both have gotten a lot of ref help and badly pulled out wins vs some mediocre and bad teams.

Right now it looks like Georgia is a lock for playoffs and they look a step above every team. Winner of Ohio State and Michigan is also a lock. If TCU remains undefeated they’ll make it, if not, I think they’ll be knocked out.

If USC beats Notre Dame and Oregon, I think they have to make it also.

So after OSU/Michigan knock one out, it’ll probably look like

1. Georgia

2. OSU/Michigan winner

3. TCU

4. USC

However, if USC loses to Notre Dame and/or TCU losses it’ll get really interesting. Does loser of OSU/Michigan stay in top 4? Does Bama or LSU sneak in with 2 losses?

If LSU beats Georgia in conference championship, I think LSU has to make it, but Georgia probably remains in top 4.

A lot can happen

Also, Notre Dame has to be kicking themselves for those brutal losses to Marshall and Stanford. They could be sitting in really good position for a playoff spot if they didn’t lose those games and knocked off USC, especially after blowing out clemson on national television.

USC had the best weekend, as they beat a top 20 team and watched a team ahead of them lose (TN) and a couple others struggle.

I think they are in, if they beat ND.

Yes, Mich or Ohio St have to lose. The SEC playoff game could know one out or put an extra one in.

Lots to go.

Great to see Michigan throttle Ohio St. I hope that knocks them out of the playoffs.

I just don't think TCU is as good as their record shows, but they are in, if they win out.

Clemson lost to giant killer South Carolina, so now they, AL and TN all have 2 losses. I heard no 2 loss team has ever made it to the 4 team playoffs. That leaves Ohio St and USC (beating ND at half) with one loss and hoping a top 4 team loses their conference playoff game.

USC with the big win. My projected top teams:

1. Georgia 12-0

2. Michigan 12-0

3. TCU 12-0

4. USC 11-1 (may be #5)

5. Ohio St 11-1 (close call with USC)

6. Alabama 10-2

Next week's games:

#1 Georgia v LSU

#2 Michigan v Purdue

#3 TCU v KA St

#4 or #5 USC v Oregon or Wash

Ohio St has no games left but may sneak in, if another team loses. If USC loses, they'd be in, for sure.

Notre Dame once again outclassed by a good team, and program. Finished 8-4, which is about what I expected winning a couple of games like Clemson that I didn’t think they would win, and losing to teams like Marshall at home that I thought they would win. Things don’t get any easier, and maybe even tougher next year with the schedule, so I see about the same record for next year.

The team did play better as the season progressed. and many of the best players return, so I'm holding out hope for better results- not great results, though.

Starting the season at Texas A & M will not be easy. (I may try and go to that game.)

Then NIU, at Purdue and Mia (OH) could leave us at 3-1 going into...

Stanford at home

@ GA Tech

Navy (in NJ)

FLA St

Virginia

ending the season...

@USC

MIA (FL)

I could see 9-2, but 8-3 is more likely. Am I missing a 12th game?

The 2023 schedule has Tenn, Ohio St, and at Clemson just to name a few.

I listed the 2024 schedule by mistake. Oooops! I see Tennessee State not Tennessee, though...

Yes, 2023's is very tough:

Navy (In Dublin)

Tenn St

Cent Mich

Ohio St

USC (The Irish's 4th home game in a row)

Wake Forest (5th)

@ Clemson

@ Stanford

@ Duke

@ Louisville

@ NC St (5th road game in a row)

Pitt (last game is at home)

Oops missed on Tenn St, but what a messed up schedule with 5 home games in a row, and 5 away games in a row.
