Don't look, now, but all our SP'ers not named Garrett have done well in their last start or two.

How does this fit the narrative on "sticky fingers" now cleaned up?

It fits it pretty well, even with Garrett Richards. He has unsticky fingers and looks helpless and demoralized. Pivetta had a great start and now Eovaldi.

When all our starters went down the toilet, to put it nicely, we heard people saying it was because of no more sticky fingers.

What explains the turn around for 4 of the 5?

Good adjustments and/or only Garrett Richards (and maybe Barnes' knuckle curve) relied heavily on doctoring the baseball.

This has been a terrific Sox game...maybe best of the year so far. No flubs in the field so far. No flubs on the base paths.

Nate has been terrific. Though I will go back to the first post I made tonight. I just do not see how any MLB team can send 8 RH hitters to the plate every night and maybe old man Gardener from the Left Side. It just can't work. You could just see how brimming with confidence Nate was with good reason. That confidence just continued to grow also with good reason. The Yanks RH hitters finally started spitting on that Slider that they could not have hit with a 10' bat in the 8th inning?????

Big kudos to Cora for leaving in Eovaldi in when he was mowing down the opposition. When Nate is dealing, you have to ride with him. I can remember seeing Eovaldi dealing like this when he was with the Yankees and Girardi would always take him out before he could face the order a 3rd time, even if he was at 70 or 80 pitches. It almost always ended badly for the Yankees. The knee-jerk automatic lifting of pitchers before they can face the order a third time is an example of stupid herd mentality based on “metrics” that has solidified my low opinion of managers. Cora did the right thing tonight and rode his best horse who was having a great night.
