Wow. Cora wants this game. It's only June, it's the third inning, and the Yankees have only scored 3 runs. But out goes Perez after 67 pitches and in comes Sawamura.

Just joining after watching the first two. The Sox are ahead but the have also made several blunders that could have been or were costly. When Chavis stole 3rd Verdugo didn't get the message. That didn't hurt. Perez got up 0 and 2 on Stanton and proceeded to throw 4 balls. Then Bogaerts made an error on an easy ground ball and Perez got unlucky on 2 close pitches. We need tto play cleaner baseball.

Unless somebody goes yard, the Yankmees just ran themselves out of a potential big inning.

Slow runner, but also another stunning throw by Renfroe. I just don't remember a guy with an arm this strong and, more importantly, this consistently accurate.

How about if they just turn MLB into a kind of game of T-ball. They have been trying for a few years now anyway. They can't field. They can't run bases. They can't bunt for the most part. Can't hit and run and for my money, the pitching SUCKS with very few exceptions.

Just put the ball on a T at home plate and sort of play home run derby.

Dave Parker of the Pirates had an accurate canon.

He only had 67 pitches? Cora does some weird s***. I hope this BP is not taxed by the second half.

You just don't send the guy with no outs. Horrible decision by somebody.

Given hoe horrible the fielding has gotten maybe....MAYBE. But Renfroe should have a big rep for his arm by now.

Somebody, maybe it was you, posted that if the league reduced the number of teams to 20, the quality of the game would improve dramatically. But, of course, that will never happen because quantity of money will always trump quality.

I heard a sports radio talking head today make a fool of himself. He was the supposed baseball "expert" of the crew. He claimed that pitching was now so dominant that they should move the mound back farther...... IDIOT.

If Stanton had been looking location at 2-1 he would likely have jacked one over the LF wall. Instead, he was more concerned with pitch type than location, got fooled by the poorly located Slider. Took the pitch and is now walking back to the dugout. The modern hitter in microcosm.

Torres practicing his uppercut swing in the on-deck circle. I have to say MLB these days is "entertaining" in an Addams Family,Herman Munster sort of way.

LOL! My opinion of the pitching in MLB is that it's so bad the league should allow the pitchers to throw behind an L-screen for their own safety.

Verdugo is a good hitter. That one directly over his head shook him up. Heck it would have shook me up.

Back sometime in the 60's the manager of the White Sox(I forgot his name) warned his pitchers to never throw near Yaz's head. "It just makes him mad and he becomes a .500 hitter."

The number of pop-ups in the modern game is just astounding. Equally of interest, they seem to have suddenly become tough, challenging plays for the fielders.

Actually that is now X-man's distinguishing fielding characteristic. He is actually good at catching pop-ups which nobody else appears to be.

I can see his agent making that case. "Yeah....Xander is great on pop-ups."

Bloom responds, "OK, how many millions do you think that is worth?"

In fairness to the pitchers, the league has done everything it can to favor the batters. Runs, especially HR's, bring the fans to the ballpark. Even allowing batters to wear armor at the plate favors the batter.
