The Cubs were losing 5-1 in the 5th today and ended up winning 7-5. With the sparsity of quality pitching in MLB, no lead is safe.

 

Oh yeah I watched that game, and if you ask me the atmosphere in the crowd was pretty similar. Love it.

I went to my first and only game at Fenway in 2012. The green was overwhelming!

I moved away from the area and only go there once every 4 years or so. It's always an experience to me also. I still think walking up the ramp and then seeing the Green Monsters and field is one of the most amazing experiences I get to have from time to time.

Boy for the number of pitchers wearing ML unis these days, quite a number of them are just tin cans, in this case wrapped in blue and grey unis. We are getting down to relief pitchers that can barely get one guy out and that is it. Sorta' tough when they have to face three batters.

I’ve been there several times but I guess my fav one was in home-opening day in 2014 I guess vs WSH, and a series vs Cubs in 2017 (not sure the year)

Nope, I behaved myself. For what it almost cost to see one game at Fenway, I can watch the whole season on Extra Innings. I actually don't live that close and I actually prefer to watch the games on TV.

Unless you are an alien with ungodly hand/eye coordination (and I am convinced that at least half the ML players are in fact aliens from outer space) it is about what you expect to get for a pitch. If you are looking for that heater right down Main Street there is no reason for a ML hitter to miss it. They can adjust some for a different pitch than what they expect. Adjusting for a different location than you were looking for is damned near impossible.

Oh yeah! Walking up the ramp and suddenly see that turf is something special.

 

To me, going to Boston is very very expensive —plane, tickets, hotel, food, restaurants, booze, etc; but worth it. If they make the playoffs, I’ll be there, no matter what lol
