Rubber match, Pivetta ® vs. Matz (L)

Starting pitching dominated the first two games: Ryu vastly better than ERod in game 1; Richards over Stripling in game 2.

Big Dick Nick for the series win! I like our chances. Win to stay in sole possession of first.

We've been in sole possession of first since April 10th, and have only been down to a 1 game lead twice: May 12th and today.

Even if we end up going flat, I'm grateful for the 7+ week ride.

I believe in this team. Just need the other starters to come around. Talking about Rodriguez and Eovaldi.

Interesting choice of names. Before the season, I think they were thought to be 1 and 2 in the rotation.

In a very tough division. The AL East has the best won-loss record in MLB.

Going into last night's game, we were only 0.5 ahead of Toronto

Although we have only played 3 vs Tampa, 5 vs Toronto after tonight, and none against the Yanks.

Hernandez CF

Verdugo LF

Martinez DH

Bogaerts SS

Devers 3B

Vazquez C

Renfroe RF

Dalbec 1B

Chavis 2B

I LOVE this lineup, particularly against Matz, the devilishly inconsistent lefty

Best line-up of the year. (Yes, I like Chavis's bat over Arroyo.)

Willie (or his wife) famously said, "attention must be paid," and that also applies to Dunedin Stadium, which was built in 1990 for $2M+, renovated for $12M in 2000, and renovated again--this time in addition to nearby Jays training complex--in 2019-20 for $81M. It now seats 8500 and is located 24 miles from the home of the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Weird. Pivetta is throwing good stuff and hitting the corners and getting hit hard.

So, good pitching doesn't always beat good hitting?

(just razzin' ya, Max.)
