Richards and Pivetta should be our one and two.

Pivetta, yes. Richards to me is still a little scary.

Richards with another gem.

I think it’s safe to say at this point he was the pick up of the year for the Sox. Nothing indicates he will regress. His Stuff is filthy.

Jacko will keep saying he is going to choke though lol

Just the opposite IMO Richards has better stuff and higher ceiling.

Geez that sinker was a great pitch and the ump didn’t call it.

Rest is history. That hurts.

I don't know who to blame, Whitlock or Vazquez, but that ground out was the first low pitch he threw in the 7th.

Right down the middle and Devers can't hit it, so of course he then swings at the next pitch a mile above the strike zone.

Before tonight's game...

Pitcher A:

2.08 (.604 OPS against) Last 5 starts

Pitcher B

2.89 (.505 OPS against) Last 5 starts

Pitcher C

3.03 (.704 OPS against) Last 5 starts

but 2.16 (.683) Last 4 starts

Pretty nice having 3 SP'ers doing this well, right?

A: Perez

B: Pivetta

C: Richards

One thing does seem apparent. The Jays bullpen is much better than ours. They pitched tough tonight when they were way behind and last night when they were way ahead.

Andriese and now Whitlock were/are the exact opposite.

Shoulda kept him in the long relief role, where he starts an inning fresh.

Agree. Heck, Richards was a better choice to get that last out.

Basing this on 1 game and another not done yet?

Of course. Doesn't everyone? Go look it up: the purpose of a game thread is to vent. I'm p.o.'d at Andriese and Whitlock. And Ottavino better do his job or I'll go after him too.

Actually, I don't, but as long as you don't mean it, we're all good.

What a great shot of that guy with a great seat but insists on watching the game thru his iphone, probably so he can check balls and strikes calls.

Kluber coming out in the bottom of the 9th with a no-no vs the Rangers.

1 BB

No, he's not.

8.2 innings, still no hits.

I think when you have a 4 run lead you have a floatability about how seriously you tighten down.

And don't call me shirley.
