Holy crap. 6 pitches for porcello. Quick inning!

Just completely abandoning the high four seam FB has actually turned into an advantage for Rick tonight. Saved him from his usually process this year....toasted early, reassess an inning later and gut out a start.

Not sure this will work against anybody that can actually hit. but it has worked tonight.

Well said. The 2 seam fast ball worked good. Slider looked good. Kept it simple and it worked. Maybe won’t work against Houston and the Yankees. But a team like Royals or Tampa who aren’t great hitters could work well for him

7-2!

I already have. I'm not good at listening to my body, which only makes it worse.

Don't I know it. Both knees shot....lumbar and cervical discs ....shot. Hopeful for the movie Wall-e future of people on a spacecraft gliding through weightlessness on lounge chairs to get around.

Lmao I would be more confident if we could beat good teams hahah. But hey a win is a win.

Not sure I would put the Rays in the can't hit category since the trade deadline. That might be the best use of the trade deadline by a small market team making a run I have quite possibly ever seen. They even managed to do it in the most irritating way possible in their fight with us:

- Got Sogard who drives us nuts and drives me to distraction

- traded out some arms and actually ended up with better relief pitching than they had

- got a monster from Milwaukee

- did a few other pretty smart things as well

I was just beside myself on deadline day seeing what the Rays did. Just wanted to throw up.

We could probably dominate the local Little League. I’m fairly confident that we would take them.

Ever seen a game with such a potent pair of fifth spot hitters? Sam Travis vs Cheslor Cuthbert?

I suppose once I posted this, it became inevitable...

Not sure a team hitting against our s*** pitching is a huge success though

Tampa has been shut down totally against Toronto tonight. They have 0 on the board. But yes they put up big runs on us and then again the Marlins. We are bottom 8 pitching. Miami actually has decent pitching this year but they are just an awful team to say the least. I agree I think Tampa has improved big time though. But I still think what Porcello did tonight could have got us a win against Tampa. Might have given up a couple extra runs. But the offense we put up today would have matched it. But doesn’t matter. Tampa swept and embarrassed us a week ago. So just speculation from my part.

I dunno man. There’s a kid named Tyron that would destroy our pitching lol.

Just got a message that Betts left the game due to leg injury. Was it obvious?

He looked sore. But then ran it off. But guess they are just being cautious. Hopefully nothing serious

It’s what we do this year. We are talented at it.

Thank God...worried they would have started to post up my early years as a Sox fan to show us the last time they had a losing streak X games long.
