Another amazing stat on Mr Morton is even though he averages 6 innings per start, his average pitch count is 94.

Too inconsistent. When you dig yourself a hole to start the season it’s difficult. Now every game is important because you’re in a race for the wildcard.

 

We started the season 6-13 mostly because our pitching sucked. And the SP sucked mostly because Cora decided to rest his pitchers in ST. Thats on the manager, and the team is now paying the price for idiotic strategy.

At least Morton Salt is out of the game UNLESS Cash brings him back for the 8th. The more I think about it, the more I think that likely. If it were me, I would bring him back. But then thats me. He has us more flummoxed now that at the start of the game.

That's why the stats are padded so bad for us this year. We can produce big and I mean BIG runs against average to s*** pitchers..... But anytime we come against a decent pitcher we crumble. Yes I know that is why they are good pitchers but last year it didn't seem to matter. We produced runs at will.... This year if we are against an Ace you know we will hit 2 runs tops. It's frustrating.
