I believe you, but I'm not convinced yet. We need more female broadcasters first. College football is my favorite sport, and one of my favorite play by play announcers is a woman. No matter who you are, a culture of prejudice has been built into Americans for over 250 years. I'm not saying I'm perfect and totally tolerant. I still get uncomfortable around the LGBTQIA+ community, even though I fully support their push for equality

I’m all for female announcers and reporters. I honestly could care less what the sex is. If they’re good they’re good. This crew as a whole is just not entertaining and very annoying. With that said there Are many femal reporters and broadcasters I think are entertaining.

There were no sexual undertones or implications in my comment, and none that I had picked up on in Slasher's comment

Ok. just for the record here, you said. "It honestly seems to me like multiple people on this board are sexist." Then when Slash said, "f*** her" you said that proves your point. Then you say there were no sexual overtones or implications you picked up on in Slash's comment????

I never said I forgive A-Rod, or that we should all like him. But since he's in a totally different role now, it's unfair to not like him just because he terrorized your team as a player. He's not playing anymore. Let it go

I'm going to duck when I say this .Arod is terrible at Redsox games but the guy has real talent as a commentator .Who ever decided to have him do Redsox games hates Boston and that's not Arods fault .I actually like that the guy has put himself on the line like this .I don't Hate Arod for Gods sake the guy wanted desperatly to play for Boston not NY it's the freaking Commisioner that f***ed that up .

Lol. It really is hard to get on board with this new push to love all things arod. The dude slapped the ball out of glove like a little bitch.

I'm still patiently waiting for A-rod's arms and legs to fall off.

We need more female broadcasters? Why would you say that? We need broadcasters who are competent, first and foremost. Why would you even care about what sex is in the broadcast booth? You wanna know the name of a female analyst that actually knows her s***? Dana Jacobson.. the rest of these women on ESPN (for the most part) add absolutely nothing. Literally nothing. ESPN hires them to please people like yourself I guess. Perhaps we need a straight man, a gay man, a bi man, a fat, thin, muscular man.. and the female equivalent in every show to appease simple minded SJW? Forget talent and knowledge.. diversity first. LOL.

The world of golf also has a really amazing female broadcaster. Amanda Balionis is the real deal, also covering football, where she shines as well. And I'm not saying that because I have a crush on her.

And I honestly think Mendoza is very smart and good at her job. Y'all are just made because you think we suck and aren't going anywhere this year.

And no, I'm not saying we should add more female broadcasters for the hell of it. I'm saying we should give them a chance if they qualify for the position. Like, say, Jennie Finch

You don't have to like them, but they certainly don't suck. At least not as much as they used to.

Gotta go with thunder on this. I don't think these guys, including the gal Mendoza, are that bad and are certainly tolerable. Besides, we're watching the game and frankly I really don't need announcers to interpret what is happening on the field.

The story of the game so far is very simple, Kyu got through a tough 1st inning and has shut the Sox down since, and the Dodgers got 3 on a semi-lucky dinger in the 1st aided by Bogie's error. Oh, and our ace Price was just magnificent, going 5 huge innings and only giving up the 1 earned run.

Yaz it's hard to feel what a persons heart lies with that .Can we get back to baseball .You offer a lot more to this board than chasing that truth or non .

Our culture has really taken the meaning out of "f*** You". It should mean something sexual but no longer does.

He was the biggest cheater of them all imo. The guy literally threatened potential witnesses after they didn’t take bribes. He lied in the record numerous times. Just terrible. As an analyst.. he’s fine.

There’s Vin Scully and then everyone else.

My favorite Sox announcer all time was mcdonough. My favorite team in the booth was orsillo and remdog.

I love Guerin as the field reporter. She knows her s***.

Thunder you have nothing to prove .Let it go it will go away .

Bad call by the Sox 3d base coach. It was obvious that Devers had no chance as a rounded 3b. Single hit too hard and right to the leftfielder, who also has a good arm.

If you're an educated, baseball crazed fan like all of us are, it shouldn't matter, like you say Max. And if you're a casual fan, just tuning in to kill time, you might think baseball is boring, which is why ESPN has this system in place. They want to keep viewers reeled in. Baseball is a very boring game. As an outfielder, I know that very well. I can't tell you how many times I was bored out of my mind sitting out there. People that aren't into baseball that are just flipping through the channels aren't going to stay on the game very long if it's not entertaining. The broadcasters have a very important job.

I'm not really into hockey, but any game that Doc Emrick broadcasts, I tend to tune in for longer than I would have otherwise, because he makes the game entertaining

It's a character issue. And ARod has proven over and over that he has none. I reserve the right to be biased against anyone who's proven to be of poor character.

Wasn’t the commissioner, it was the players association. They wouldn’t let him reduce his contract.

Similarly, I also like Meredith whatever the hell her last name is on YES.

Alright I’m sold. How do we make him ours?

Offer the Dodgers a deal they can't refuse.

DD: "I want Ryu."

Dodger GM: "I'm not trading him."

DD: "Either you sign over his contract to me or your brains will be on that contract."

Now there's a deal the Dodger GM can't refuse. Sorry Mario Puzo.
