You would think that at some point we have to pick a guy. It would probably work better than flipping a quarter.

Chavis overmatched by a lefty throwing sidearm. He's slipping deeper into no man's land, but still don't think he'll get sent down. FO and Cora appear fully committed.

The kid got a couple of tough called strikes on one definitiely off the plate and the other marginal. Give him a break. Cora's move worked out and with a 4 run leave and 6 outs to get we look good for making a game up on both the NYY and TB. Good night for Cora and the Sox.

As of late Chavis has been more valuable with his glove than his bat. Who saw that coming?

And some commenters are very critical of his fielding ability. I imagine they are talking about range, not getting to the ball so he only appears to not mess it up.

True. It's funny in that during the period Joe D had his 56 game hitting streak, Ted had a higher batting average.

Funny how both of them thought that the other was the better player.

Joe was the better all-around player. When Ted was in the outfield, he was practicing his swing. He would have been the perfect DH.

Point taken. 13 pitches.. does he come out for the ninth?

I'm not sure about messing with his 1 inning routine. I think he's only gone more than 1 inning once this year.

I'd probably go with Barnes, but I won't criticize Cora for bringing back Workman.

JD back above .300. Can only hope this is the start of a big run for him. Looks like the back is back.

Scores from first , running hard. I think he is ok.

Not sure if any of you have heard but NBA teams are looking to drop the term “NBA Owners” because it is racially insensitive.

Sighhh... In other news, the term “master bedroom” is catching heat as well but there is no one to throw darts at.

I don't think it was his back. He was in a slump, which even Mike Trout gets into once in a while.

Btw, as great a defensive CF that Joe was, his brother Dom was even better.

The Red Sox over the decades always had some great OF's, sometimes bats, sometimes gloves. Well up until now, LOL

I wasn’t worried about him. I just can’t imagine him go thru the motions for longer than a few games. He’s just too dedicated and talented. Monster hitter.
