If I had to stick a finger up my butt every time the red sox made a stupid play this season. I would've been fisted 33 times this season already. (5 fingers = full fisting).

Dude, what the f***?

Sounds good to me.

Here's a key to this year's Red Sox, just among this board. It is a 2 run game with the arch rival and no one is showing any real anticipation (only blind hope) that the Sox could come back. If that attitude prevails in the dugout and clubhouse , then it is over.

In case no one noticed Chavis is a f***ing sleepy rookie

Betts should have made a hard throw to the bag when he noticed Chavis loafing. Would never happen again

That seems low.

Vegas they need to be more disciplined .We had real disciplined hitters last year .

Side note .Brandon Freaking Workman is a stud this year !!! Why in the hell is he not closing ? I would keep Barnes 8th Workman 9th and never look back .

Workman isn’t the problem.

Chavis is lost at the plate

He finally has reached the .250's and is at about .150 over the last week. Looking a little worse each time because his eyes are in the sky, bat is fully extended and over the line of the ball by a few inches. he needs the rest and some serious coaching. Too bad Mitch and Steve are aching together.

I am sorry gents, but if the sox do somehow fall out of the WC race, there isn't much to move on from.

Porcello is a FA, but with the way he has pitched this year, you'll get a C level prospect for him and you'd have to eat some money.

Betts isn't gonna get moved, not with the money on the board for 2020. They'll try to reload for 2020 and start anew

JDM, presumably, wouldn't be having a great year if the sox were out of it. Hence, he wouldn't be opting out. He would likely be on the docket for 2020, so you don't deal him. I would only consider dealing him if the sox are sucking and JDM is dominating making an opt out likely

You're not moving Eovaldi, Price, or Sale. You could consider moving ERod, but with how bad he has been and with him arb controllable for 2020, you don't move him.

You can move on from JBJ, but he is pretty much untradeable right now. He is worth way less than the contract he has and with how bad he has been, most teams wouldn't offer him arbitration.

Nunez is useless. Holt is pretty much useless right now. You aren't moving Vasquez and you already know Leon isn't worth s***.

Moreland is probably your most tradeable player, assuming he can get healthy. But the 1b/DH spot is going to be well represented on the market with Carlos Santana and Edwin Encarnacion likely on the move. Therefore, Moreland's return will suffer from a large supply.

Pearce isn't tradeable.

If you're planning on contending in 2020 (hint: you are), then you don't move any pen pieces since they are all controllable for 2020.

You're not moving Devers, Bogey or Chavis.

Ultimately, there is no fire sale. You don't have the expiring contracts of great players to dangle out there. You aren't looking at a 2020 rebuild. You won't be putting anything onto the market that is going to return something to you. Hence, your team is not going to sell until 2020 and that is only if they suck this year and next, which they wont

No DP please. At least give mookie a chance as tying run

9th inning rallies are more exciting. See what Betts does then.

So you are saying Dave will deal off Bogaerts and his newly minted contract? Maybe Sale at a discount? Price is not moveable. Pedroia isn't either. Ultimately, you're stuck with the guys you have

So you are saying there's a chance , we don't have to learn new names to hero worship ?

There is a lot of players not movable. Who realistically would Red Sox trade?
