The one thing the Yanks have been missing this year is someone new stepping up in the bullpen. It has seemingly happened every year (Holder last year, Green the year before, Warren before that) but everyone they've brought up this year has been a dud or below average at best (Tarpley, Harvey, Adams, Barrett, Cortes, the two random dudes who pitched last night). Cessa has been okay but is pretty undependable in a big spot. Maybe Loiasaga can be that guy once he gets off the IL.. but it would certainly help to have another dependable one-inning arm in the playoffs when Boone SHOULD have a quick hook for our starters.

I hope the Yankees play the Guardians in the first round while the Astros get the Wild Card winner. If that happens, the Yankees will not advance to the ALCS.

75% of today's pitchers likely won't be on our playoff roster. But sure, we'll get crushed by Cleveland in the postseason based on today's game. I think Boston put up like 18 runs on us one game too, high point of their season

Day to day with a bruise. We beat up the two aces of the Dodgers and avoided their third. We were one sac fly in the ninth from sweeping in LA. Paper Dodgers for sure. Those A’s are tough, though

So we’ve got three in Seattle, get a day off, head home for three vs Oakland then have a cakewalk to the finish. Only seven games vs the Sox and rays and nothing of note otherwise.

Judge also started pulling the ball. Listen, I love the opposite field approach, but only on pitches that are away. I don't want him to turn into Jeter, inside outing all balls thrown and shooting them to RF. He's got the power to drive it out of anywhere, he doesn't need to shortchange his power by hoping to get some cheapie YS homers

I think the magic number is now 19 for the division. With only 6 games on this homestand (before 9 straight on the road) there's a decent chance they won't get to celebrate in front of the home crowd. But I get your sentiment.
