This game isn’t on Price. I don’t give a s*** who doesn’t agree with me. The Sox put up 23 runs in the last 3 games I believe. Price letting two men on base in the 7th is not the reason we will lose this. Putting up 1 single run on the board just doesn’t cut it against the Yankees on any day of the week period. Not to mention Hembree sucks tonight too.

That's why BP ERA is misleading because two of those runs Hembree gave up are charged to Price. Our BP could be our Achille's Heel in the playoffs.

If you guys didn't want Price in, and didn't want Hembree in, who should've pitched here? It was 7th inning and I'm not sure Kimbrel is available after yesterday. I don't really blame Cora too much, sure maybe Price faced one batter too many, but this is on the players. Hembree couldn't throw a strike to an AAAA bum, and Xander booted a double play ball.

Taking 3 of 4 w/o Sale is impressive and everyone on this thread would have taken that before the series started. Tanaka pitched a good game and the Yankem BP is their strong point.

Nobody is complaining they took 3/4. Obviously end result everyone is happy about that. People are annoyed because of the way the Yankees took the lead. It would be one thing if Stanton had a clutch hit, or Didi, or whatever, but it was literally the Sox walking 2 bums, and booting a double play ball to give the Yankees the lead.

All in all for that inning, Hembree allowed 0 earned runs. On stat sheet it looks like he did a good job.

I don’t mind hembree starting the inning. In fact I don’t mind him coming in after the single. It was the walk that set the tone. Walking the next guy that was trying to bunt was the killer. There are 2 mounds in the bullpen. Someone should tell Cora that it’s ok to get 2 guys warmed up during a critical part of the game....

The SOX have a tougher schedule finishing the season than the Yankems. Too early to make predictions, but I would rather be 7.5 games up than behind.

Xander made a bad error and of our normal defensive alignment was out there, Price gets the first batter out. Them’s the breaks.
