You are correct. In order to get tot he Series, you will have to beat the Astros and /or the Yankees. Despite the best record in baseball, the 40th win may have to wait a few more days. Pedroia will be a part timer all season. Betts' injury came in warm ups. But the real story is the starting pitching. Right now , it's a box of chocolates

John Lester meant a lot more to us than the ownership thought ...fatal blow .Sale is not nor will ever be what John was for us in crunch time games .

I needed the Red Sox to win because a Houston loss coupled with a Seattle win would have lifted the Mariners into a virtual tie for first place in the AL West, percentage points ahead of the Astros.

 

Perhaps the Mariners can at least win tonight to keep pace.

The players we have are just not good enough to win a ring ....Mookie and JD are amazing players no you build upon them Xander has come along way ....Devers is a year out but talented .....Benny is right there on the cusp ....we have a great core of players ....but the pitching ??? Nope it's weak ....Sale is weak he's our Ace ....Price who the hell knows right ? Erod is way to inconsistent.....Porcello again just not good enough ...so we have holes upon holes then the bullpen ? Kelly ? Barnes ? Johnson ? Those guys have had moments but they are never to be counted on .The team needs 2 starters and Two bullpen arms a catcher a mature 3B a healthy second baseman.....it's smoke and mirrors right now folks .Wildcard and out in the first round again ...rinse repeat .Trade JBJ ,Sale ,and restock up Reload.
