With Pedey and Thornbug coming back, do we trade Brian Johnson to make room?

Harmony if Blake goes to Texas and rakes like I know he will and we are stuck with two fat f***s at catcher who can't hit there own weight ???? Will you sound the Alarm I called this 6 months ahead of all the folks throwing dirt on his career? I want Moon and some others to self ban themself for two weeks ...and upon return must kiss my Irish ass for a year....figuratively of course .

ZiPS, Steamer and FanGraphs Depth Charts project Blake Swihart with rest-of-season wRC+ of 58, 69 and 64:

On @DaleKeefeWEEI Cora rules out JBJ demotion or Nunez DL stint for impending Pedroia return

I found this interesting. It looks like Swihart is the odd man out.

Any reason you think the Sox won't just demote Bobby Poyner? They've already done it once this year...

And just now once again to make room for Hector V, the undefeated team leader.

Those names for I'm pulling this out me ass ?

We'll leave that to you.:)

The provided link explains the calculation that goes into the projection (which is a probability, not a prediction):

An aggregate projection (ZiPS, Steamer, Depth Charts combined) tends to be more accurate than an individual projection.

I've always hoped they'd give Swihart a legitmate chance, even if just at DH as we bench HRam. I've said he's never proven he can hit at the MLb level, but I've never said I felt he can't.

I was all for changing his position long before we did based on my hopes he can hit well enough to play somewhere else. That's actually saying a lot, since you have to hit better to play OF or 1B. My fall back was that he'd probably be a good utility player with the added value of being a 3rd catcher which would aallow us to PH for Vaz & Leon more often, but apparently Cora & DD don't trust him behind theplate in any close game.

It's his defense at catcher I have a beef with.

It would not surprise me, if he hits elsewhere. I'm not for trading him for that reason. I've said I'd DL Nunez, but if we never are going to give Swihart a chance, then it is a wasted roster spot.

I'll agree to this: if Swihart gets traded and catches for another team at a decent level on defense, I'll "figuratively" use my quarter Irish foot to kick your Irish ass.

Well I'm all for letting fat Sandy go

I thought you always judged guys on the tiniest of sample sizes.

Leon is oneof our hottest hitters.
