I like most of you was against Sale coming in this early but man that was a terrific inning. Hard to argue when it's 3 up 3 down like that. Regardless Porcello also had a fantastic 3rd inning and I think had another inning or two left in him.

Perhaps he can come out of the pen in game 5?

And tell me just how did Benni screw up? He was in a lead from 1st, and the ball was smoked by Mookie. he's thinking get to 3rd not going back to 1st. It was just dumb-luck. Moreland is the guy who has to get a giant lead...if he does, maybe he has a chance. But I think he is just so slow and frankly you have to send him anyway. Hanram keeps coming through though, and that's to take away from this.

Line drive you got to make sure it gets by, he was running right away. That extra step got him.

The offense score wise has done sweet f*** all. They have had chances but has amounted to jack. Loaded bases with nobody out and got nothing out of it equals to jack. But they have had their chances no doubt. EVentually they will cash in.

What the heck is Sale doing out there? Anybody with any knowledge of the game can tell he is literally exhausted, those 98 mph fastballs notwithstanding. I was talking to several former MLB pitchers the other days and they all say he's lost it--his stride is shorter or something and his arm motion is all wrong. This is all Farrell's fault.

Well they need to produce more back to back hits.

See, you're just clueless. You're so pessimistic, you're losing sight of what's happening in the game.

The good news is that Morton usually blows up in the 5 th inning. These have been tough innings for him. Edited by a700hitter

One thing you have to give Morton credit for is working the edges of the strike zone. That is I think the big reason why he is getting more calls than Porcello (or Sale). Those 3 K's in the 4th against Devers, Vazquez, and JBJ were impressive. We have no one in the rotation who can hit corners consistently.

Well the offense has to do something now! Let's go!!! Who can the astros bring in to shut us down? All hands could be on deck for them. Need to score now!

Even though he's exhausted, he seems to be doing OK.

Yup he does. He's making quick work. Looks like Verlander is coming in now too. Strange day.
