Of course, Butterball would have sent Sandy Leon on a popup like that and he'd have been out by 40 feet. Aggressive base running is what they call it. Not Farrell's fault. He has no idea what is going on.

The big question boys and girls is at what point do we have to start wondering what DD can do to get this team going for next year. This team is so under achieving, it's sickening. We went from only needing 1 or 2 position players next year, to a boat load of question marks...

He's either injured or getting old. I can't figure out Hanley.

Same wavelength here........ the dude just confuses me...

I think I have overrated Betts, JBJ, and Xander. Do you all think this year is more Betts, or last year?

In MY Opinion...

Xander's defense has always been overrated - but I qualify that by saying that I still think we should have kept Iggy and moved Bogaerts to 3B, but that's a horse that's been dead for so long there's no point in beating him any more. The thing that's disappointing me in 2007 is his offense, and more specifically the fact that this "slump" has gone on as long as it has without him able to do anything about it.

I've always been a big JBJ fan. I don't think there's any way his defense can be overrated, and his offense is about what I'd expected - or maybe a tad lower than I'd expected.

I know I'm being inconsistent here because I feel the same about Mookie that I did about Bogaerts, but I think Mookie is more liable to come out of his slump at any moment. And like JBJ, his defense makes him worth carrying.

TMI? LOL

Bautista probably would not have run on you either if he hadn't seen you throw previously.

OUCH! That's going to leave a MARK!! LOL

Well, as I tell people, don't ask me a question you may not want to hear the answer to. :-)

I'm joking......

I look at Xander as expendable.

Bett's, like you all said. In the middle of 2016 and 17.

I'm such a sucker for JBJ I can't even be rational about it.

It's when we have to start paying these guys more money the real discussion comes to play.

Hey, I want to use Xander & Swihart as the centerpieces of a trade for Stanton.

The whole apple watch thing is so incredibly stupid and hard to believe. Like why would you even do that? Its just pure stupidity and makes the organization look foolish and stupid. Did it really make a big difference? No, probably not, but the fact they were attempting to gain an advantage with technology (which is cheating) is horrible. Stuff like this really irritates me, especially as it will now be endless debated whenever Sox games are on TV.

Yup. Really f***ing dumb.

The Diamondbacks are going great guns.

They would run on me without having to see me throw. My staggering under the popfly would have been enough of a clue. I still would have gunned out his ass from that spot if I caught the ball -- a big if. Edited by a700hitter

Someday all the Iggy boners will deflate.

Don't bet on it. The fact that I don't talk about it doesn't mean it's not still there.

There is merit to your belief.

But as you said, that horse is long dead. And really, there is no use arguing with some of the stubborn twats here as they will never acknowledge you having a valid idea because you came up with it before them and of course they are unable to concede that they are wrong.

You know the drill.

It was not like this before BDC came aboard.

What the heck is Swihart worth now a day? Heck, what is Xander worth?

OOps. That Swihart was supposed to be Benintendi.

Swihart as a throw - in since the M's are short on young catching.

My bad.

How bad could Brentz be compared to this s*** show. I still think he would have came up and banged a few. Maybe it wouldn't last too long but right now would be the perfect time to put him in. This is down right embarrassing.

I guess some people will be posting about how Estrada was masterful tonight. NOT!!! He is a bag of s***, but our lineup sucks! We don't have enough offense to close the deal this season and that has been obvious from day 1 --regardless of underperformances.

How could Farrell not know? If he didn't know about it, that is an indictment of him not being in control of things.

As I said in the topic thread the idea the neither he nor Dumbrowski did not know of this scheme is just idiotic.

"I did not inhale".

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman".

Yeah sure.
