That was a really serious punch. Odor is a moron. Punching a guy in the face because he slid hard into second? f*** you, dude, that's baseball. It might be against the rules now, but that's what guys do. They slide hard to try and break up the double play. Get pissed if you want, but don't throw punches. As for charging the mound, forget it. Aside from Nolan Ryan and (IIRC) Farnsworth, 99% of pitchers are pussies when a guy charges them. I remember one of them throwing his glove at the guy.

I just watched the replay of Kendrys Morales' walk-off today. I thought it was kind of funny how he approached the plate. After he broke his leg jumping on home plate a few years ago, he stopped a few feet short and walked up to it very calmly. Once bitten, I guess, but it still looked funny compared to how most guys jump on home like they're playing a giant game of Whack-a-Mole.

I've moved the discussion here. Also, you should really calm down with the posts. You replied three times to your own thread, a few minutes apart. I'm not sure exactly why that all couldn't have been contained in your initial post, but long conversations with yourself are a little worrying.

Not to mention that the whole thing was apparently precipitated by the Rangers hitting Bautista out of unresolved butthurt over the famous bat flip last October (so, 7 months ago). Maybe that's also "old school baseball," but it seems to me there's enough potential for guys to get hurt and careers to be put in jeopardy every game without getting into wars of retaliation over stupid ********.
