Kimbrel used quite good strategy. He was throwing a bit wild, but when it came to Tulowitzky, Kimbrel used his slower and easier to control breaking ball to get two quick strikes; this was not expected because he hadn't used that pitch yet.

that was a ridiculous comeback, after the disappointment of the Bucholz start. But we can't rely on the offense constantly getting the pitchers out of jail.

Watching MLB Tonight with Amsinger, Reynalds, and Pedro Martinez. They just said that Bradley Jr.'s throw from CF to home in this game was clocked at 101 MPH. Hope we get to see JBJ pitch in some crazy game where we run out of pitchers.

Our bullpen have allow only 2 run in 3 games, they pitch 13 innings so far. If my calculation is correct, that's a 1.38 ERA. (2/13*9)

I think this team is amped up and it will settle down during the season. Kelly looked to be pushing his limits today, Kibrel even.

 

The playing atmosphere will settle down and I believe over the long haul JBJ will be hitting those throws like we are accustom to. I'm still more worried about him at the plate.

 

Today, playing last years AL Champion in their first home game, playing in front a massive crowd, against their ace, they over came the odds, and many players contributed.

 

I don't know what it is, maybe Papi's last year, or they have something to prove, maybe they are playing for Farrell, or they themselves as players have something to prove, but there seems to be ten times more fire in this team than last year on display as of right now.
