Chilli davis did infact confirm a couple days ago that hanley is in fact swinging out of his ass too much. If he does stay here, hopefully he will lstop trying to hit 500 foot hrs every time he's up. I do think he can come back and become a good hitter again though.

I think he may be more hurt than he lets on. He says his shoulder is fine from the wall crash, but he hasn't done anything since.

Nah, just Hanley being Hanley.

Showing off that speed getting in there for a double. Keep it up Papi.

Also in other news I think it should be noted that Johnny Gomes is traded to the 1st place Royals. The guy is always in the playoffs. DD should approach him and see if he will be a coach on the Sox then we may catch on to some of his beard magic and make the playoffs year after year.

I forgot how much I love listening to the game while I do my homework. Sounds like a playoff environment tonight.

No. Joe is giving play by play duties to Loomer Loney while Dave does the game for ESPN.

Very impressive AB by lefty Shaw against lefty pitcher in the bottom of 7th. Yankee commentator, David Cone noted more than once that Shaw doesn't give an inch against lefties. I think the kid is a keeper.

Hell of a play by Taz!
Yankee announcers are calling the play a " look what I found" play, but it was not. That ball was down at his feet and he backhanded it. The ball at the pitcher's feet is the toughest play. Very nice by Taz.

JBJ has absolutely saved his career with this torrid start. Hopes he keeps it up. Just a month ago he couldn't square up the fastball, now he's lofting them to left center.
