Eduardo Rodriguez (i.e. Our Ace) vs C.C. Sabathia (aka "Fatassia")

Go Red Sox! Take the Series. The fans still care. The players still care. Farrell and the coaching staff need to get their heads out of their asses and give a winning effort. Stop sending runners to their deaths on stupid plays. Stop pitching Breslow. Stop playing Napoli. And for goodness sakes give a take sign to our .100 hitter on 3-0 when he is leading off an inning.

I am glad that you wrote that the players still care. I truly believe that they do. You can see in moments like when Napoli hit a HR recently. I know that I still care. Even though the team is not going anywhere, it makes me happy when they win, especially against a certain team that shall remain nameless.

Let's knock Sabathia out early, like in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Go Sox!!!

The one thing I've picked up this week is that CC sucks. I haven't watched either game of the series, but I heard about CC. He must really suck.

The badass rivalry between the Yanks and the Sox may have gone to a simmer........... but I still rather see the Sox beat those dirtbags...

any little thing we can do to make it more difficult on those ass hats.......... I'm all for it........

Come on E-Rod..............

Hanley please retired.

It has looked like pretty much all this year that he's trying to hit a hr every single time he's up. I don't know if this is different from what he has done in past years because I hadn't watched him since he left boston, but it hasn't worked so well for him this year. He was never a huge hr guy before as he only has one season over 30 hrs. He has power, but I don't know if he can be a huge hr hitter. I would much rather him be a mid 20 hr guy with a good obp and doubles numbers. I hope the sox didn't tell him before the season that they were expecting him to hit loads of hrs and negatively impacted his swing by doing so.

So all the crappy play is the result of the coaching staff meddling with guys? If that is the case, then Farrell and his whole staff should have been fired already.

I hope it isn't. I have no clue if this is normal for him or not.

One off season acquisition that I have enjoyed while he has been healthy is Hannigan. He's been decent offensively and solid defensively.

This is what I've been saying. I'm surprise how well Hannigan has played. His OBP is .360! The highest on the team.

Yeah his OBP is what really stood out to me, I didn't realize it was that high until recently. In a season with a lot of negatives, Hannigan has had a really underrated season

This guy has had a gtreat Red Sox career, but this year he has 500 HR on his mind. He definitely doesn't exhibit team play. On the few times he attempts to go against the shift, he does well, but insists he doesn't want to change, then he complains about all the hits he loses becauses of the shift. His contracted for next year is vested on PA this year, and he should reach it this week. $11M for 425 PA, increasing with more PAs.

I'm not so sure I'm happy about that. He refused to play 1b on a regular basis because he doesn't "want to lose it all". Sounds selfish to me
