Remy gave a stat on Vasquez. I think he said that he has thrown out more than 50% of the runners stealing since he has been in the majors. That is unheard of in Boston.

I guess bradley can't even hit in pawtucket. He's got a 189 batting average down there. He's gotta be careful he doesn't get demoted to double a lol (just kidding). Edited by BigPapi

Koji has officially fallen off the map. Might have been best to deal him when his value was high

Fallen off the map? Lol

His numbers are still ridiculously good

Nope, instead Koji "I'm probably pitching injured" Uehara gives it up.

Absolutely agree Koji probably is injured. They should shut the guy down to lessen the chance he will be shot for next season. They have been overworking Tazawa also.

The announcers were saying something about Workman going back to minors and relief staff being strengthened. One hopes so. Until this season happened to the RS it never dawned on me that teams who don't score enough runs can ruin relief pitchers just as do teams with bad starting pitching.

I am not sure why people are concluding that Koji must be injured. Last year was a career year for him. It may be one of the greatest seasons for a closer in history. This season he has given a few glimpses of being mortal. It is a long season, and even great players hit some bumps in the road and struggle. The great Mo Rivera would hit a patch most years where he struggled. Despite being in this rough patch, Uehara is still pitching to a season ERA of 2.25 at age 39. I am not sure why people expecte him to be perfect and why they conclude that he must be injured if he is not perfect. That being said, I cannot think of a good reason for Farrell leaving him in for 30+ pitches the other day when he had blown the save. That was thick-headed stupidity, but then again, Farrell is a thick-headed stupid man. ;)
