JBJ should be in the minors.

The funny thing is that he was supposed to start the season in the minors and only made the team because Vic got hurt. Meanwhile, Vic has come and gone twice, two OF's were traded for, the #1 prospect was called up for the OF, JBJ has sucked the entire season offensively, and he still hasn't been sent to the minors.

Really....letting scrub ass Wong hit 2 HR's in a game. Pathetic..

I'd rather just see him picked off at 1st every time again

Vic was not the starting CF.

I didn't say he was. Sizemore was. Vic would have played CF when Sizemore sat out.

Xander with a terrible approach with RISP.

Please Station, listen to me on this. XANDER IS A COMPLETE CHOKER WHEN THERE ARE MEN ON BASE. HE GETS NERVOUS AND CHANGES HIS WHOLE APPROACH---and this is something that might not be curable because in most cases chokers get worse in these situations rather than improve. Some do, most don't and I don't think Bogaerts will. I called him a potential choker as early as April 9----I am now more convinced than ever that he is a total choker.

Bradley hasnt shown a damn thing offensively this year. Is it too early to give up on him and dangle him and other pieces in a trade during the offseason?

No crc, but it may be too late. Who the hell would want this guy except as a fourth or fifth outfielder? He can't hit, he has no power, he has average speed so he cannot steal many bases, he cannot bunt for base hits because he can't bunt and is slow besides and he strikes out in droves. Who would want him besides those two idiots running the team---Big Dufus Farrell and Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White.

Not a whole lot of shame K'ing on a Waino curveball a couple times but I wish he would have come through.

Give it up SFF---PPPUULLLEEEEZZZZZEEEEE!!!!!!! The guy is a choker. You have to see that by now.

I've said this often.....IMHO Cherington and Farrell are scared s*** to send Bradley down for the simple reason that he might not hit down there but rather s*** the bed, and that would make the Big Dufus and Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White look like bigger saps than they are.

He has almost 500 ABs and he has 28 RBI, but he does have a whopping 46 runs scored. Of course, we have been told that these numbers and his stats with RISP mean nothing.

You're going to be eating so much crow on this, I wouldn't be surprised if you stopped coming around. It's going to be bad man.

If he was such the choker like you seem to say he is, why did he have such a huge post season as a 20 year old?? It makes no sense.

Fred, I love ya, but you're looking for narratives here. Where where you yesterday when he drove in the only 2 runs of the game?

I was listening to the Cardinal feed yesterday. McCarver agrees with you. I don't know if that makes you more confident or less confident in your position. ;)

BTW, I thought that McCarver had retired. I guess the truth is that he was fired by the Nsatioonal Networks and the retirement story allowed him to save face.

I would be fine with a Lester or other FA signing, another FA or trade acquisition, Kelly, and Ranaudo (Only young guy who's shown anything) rotation next season. We can only hope..

De La Rosa has shown promise and in a larger sample size.

This doesnt make any sense. They would rather him be terrible in front of the whole USA and TV watching Bostonians than the minors where he'll be forgotten about? No they want him to do good badly because hes good at D. Its a crucial part of their plan. They dont just want good players, they want a specific type of player. However if JBJ doesnt overcome....

I'm not gonna pick a side on Bogaerts yet, but I want to point out that the stuff you mention actually support Fred's argument. When he had both RBI Wednesday, he was still 0-1 with RISP (the sac fly was certainly appreciated over a K). In his 'huge postseason', he was 1-8 with RISP, and the 1 was an infield hit. Last regular season he was 1-11 with RISP. He certainly has choked with RISP so far in his career. It should be something he overcomes as he gets older though.

I don't care about RISP in the post season. I care about all PS at bats. And the kid raked in the postseason, period.

Hitting in the playoffs as a 20 year old takes a lot more "clutch" attributes than hitting w RISP in a meaningless season.

That's true. Not all AB are created equal. But there's still something bad going on in his head when he sees a man on 2nd or 3rd.

It should be pointed out that the statisitics are just bearing out what others have noticed. When the stats confirm the observation, the argument by the deniers is that the sample size is too small. The problem is that the sample size is becoming larger and larger. I think it is pretty clear from all of the evidence that the kid has some squirrels running around inside his head when there are runners in scoring position. Hopefully, he grows out of this sooner than later.
