Game time: 7:15 p.m.

TV/Radio: FOX, 93.7 WEEI

Notes: Tonight’s game marks the half-way point of the regular season...The Red Sox will be below .500 through 81 games for the 1st time since the 1997 club went 37-44 through the first 81 games...The 1996 team was the last to finish with fewer wins (34-47) in the first half…Boston went a team-record 16 consecutive years with a winning record through 81 games from 1998-2013…Boston is 20-9 (.690) this season when recording at least 10 hits, and 32-19 (.627) when scoring at least 3 runs…With 530 doubles, 18 triples, and 449 HR in his career, David Ortiz’s 997 extra-base hits are the most among active left-handed hitters, 3rd among all actives behind Alex Rodriguez (1,203) and Albert Pujols (1,064)…is 3 extra-base hits shy of becoming the 36th player to reach the mark, the 16th left-handed hitter...Only 10 others have ever reached Ortiz’s totals in doubles (530), triples (18), and homers (449).

With Drew in the 6th hole, that speaks strongly to the weakness of the bottom third of order.

All our games vs the NYY are nationally televised. It truly sucks!

Yesterday I had the NESN feed, tomorrow ESPN.

I had only MLB Network and YES yesterday.

I'm in Utah, I have MLB Extra Innings from DIRECTV. I always get the NESN feeds.

Yeah my brother has Direct TV and he always gets the NESN feed unless it's Nationally televised. I have Verizon and mostly get the home team broadcast dammit!

WTF Drew!

Can they undo this signing? It's been a waste.

If Drew's bat is ever gonna wake up, don't see it happening against Tanaka.

Funny thing this year is this game is being televised on a Extra Innings channel, but it is the same Fox Sports feed (Fox local), but also all the Fox Sports feeds/games are being broadcast. Not like last year and before only the local Fox station would carry a game.

For me it's the first game with the local Fox broadcast. They've all been Fox Sports up until tonight.
