Anyone know anything about this guy? I imagine there will be a bidding war for him but I wonder if the Red Sox would be interested. He could help our offensive void in the outfield.

I understand he has plus power and is considered a corner outfielder. Like many other Cuban escapees, he is not a sure thing at the major league level. He will have to establish residency in a neutral country first and may not end up signing until late in 2014 or even 2015.

Most of these guys coming out of Cuba have been hits. Considering the lack of OFs in the system it wouldn't be wrong to take a long look at this guy.
