Middlebrooks is a scratch.

Herrera is playing 3rd in his place.

No surprise with the shot he took off his finger last night. Might be headed for the DL.

Holding Middlebrooks out is just precautionary at this point. The Sox have Monday off and expect WMB to start again Tuesday. That is why Holt remains in lovely Pawtucket. No need to put WMB on the DL at this time.

This is another example of why it would be beneficial to have Drew around.

I am looking at the bright side and am hoping that the additional exposure by this shitbag Willie Harris clone will hasten his departure from the team.

Did the Rangers had Cliff Lee at one point or is it my imagination?
Yes, he pitched for them one of the years that they went to the World Series.

I thought you had to start it the day of the game?

We'll make an exception for you, cockmongering Yankees fan. You are now our lucky amulet.

AJ with 2 RBI. Others may have a different opinion, but I do like hitters that make a lot of contact. I went to a Yankee Sox game where Salty k'd his first 4 times up before making contact in his first AB. In is last 2 ABs he was swinging early in the count desperately trying not to continue k'ng. It was very frustrating to watch especially with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

Xander and JBJ are going to need more time to adjust to MLB-level breaking stuff. Gotta live through them growing pains.

They both could have used more time in AAA, though. In a perfect world, you'd have two stop gaps who could be surpassed once both got hot.

Bogaerts was hitting the ball hard the first month. Pitchers stop throwing him hit me pitches and he sees a lot of breaking ball lately. now he has to change his approach to counter it.
