You can't get something decent back in a trade without giving something up in return. We decided to move on with Bogaerts as our guy going forward and have other talent coming up behind him. Getting Peavy back for this run and next year as well was a nice return IMO. Time will tell if Iggy turns out to have a brilliant career, but my money is on him being a utility guy a la David Eckstein etc, and not being an everyday player.

 

I will take that bet against you. I think getting Peavy was a good solid move at the time and when we win the WS there will be no doubt about it.
