This brock holt s*** must stop.

Meanwhile in Pawtucket, Bogaerts went 2-3 in the 1st game of the DH, and 3-4 in the 2nd.

EDIT: Don't know why I typed Middlebrooks. It was Bogaerts.

Read above.

I was looking at that myself and wondering what the hell I missed. Base running is surely the biggest hole in Nava's game.

Maybe the Sox offense just sucks their first night in a city. They were shutout the first game of the Houston series. And barring a miracle they are looking to get shutout here too. It's a shame that Lester pitched decently (for once) and we wasted it.

It just sucks against LHP. They have done nothing to improve their RHd hitting, and took their best hitter out of the lineup tonite. Looks like Farrell made that lineup up like Jimy Williams used to --with a dartboard.

At times, the FO reminds me of passengers at the Captain's table having dinner while the Titanic is going down. No sense of urgency.

Just a side note: does anyone remember those weird routes marlon byrd took to catch flyballs last year on the sox?

Not quite Houston Rubby.

Well at least the remaining Royals starters are RHers. But Santana, Guthrie and Shields are no cake walk.

The only reason i think will or xander arent up is that john farrell cant decide on which one to bring up.

There is no way that is the reason. It doesn't matter who you bring up, they're both upgrades. Flip a coin or some s***, I don't care. I'm surprised it's even taking this long to be honest.

You really think it's Farrell's decision? No. That's a FO call. Farrell may have an input.

True. What I meant was management in general.

As with me. I just don't see what another legitimate reason could be, unless they still think xander has to develop more and they want to keep will down.

I do think the Sox FO is worried about Will having been to some extent rushed up only to fall back. In reality, now that Iggy is gone, in their perfect world, Will probably goes back to 3rd and XB takes over SS. I just don't think they want Will to believe he is being left without a chair when the music is stopping.

I also think the FO believes it has more time to make this decision. The Sox are still in 1st place. True, this is turning into a real dog fight. However they have not been dislodged for more than a day at a time and are in 1st now.

I thought the trip would have been a good spot to bring one of then up. Maybe it still happens out on the road. Eventually the Sox come back for three games at Fenway and go right back out on the road again. Maybe that is the time period that they have decided would be the deadline.

Friday: RHP Jake Peavy (9-4, 4.14) vs. RHP Ervin Santana (8-6, 2.97), 8:10 p.m. (ET), NESN.

Saturday: LHP Felix Doubront (8-5, 3.56) vs. RHP Jeremy Guthrie (12-7, 3.96), 7:10 p.m. (ET), NESN.

Does anyone know whose pitching tommorow for KC?

I posted this on the first page of this GT. There ya go.

Rubby's fastball went a long way last night. He has been very inconsistent at AAA. Overall, his numbers for the season are not very good. The numbers don't indicate much promise or any encouragement regarding his development. His command is not good at all. I hope that we can get some value for him as part of some package down the road before he loses all value.

He has been very inconsistent. Im no expert, but it looked like he was just chucking his fastball as hard as he could and letting it end up whereever he wanted it to end up. He has a good arm. Maybe if he can sacrifice some mph for more control, he will be fine.

This is what 3B has produce in the last month: .190/.216/.238

f*** off Farrell and Boobs. Bring back Middlebrooks.

I don't think Middlebrooks could be worse and every once in a while, he'll hit a bomb.

He definitely will run into some bombs. In pawtucket, hes averaged a bomb nearly every 4 games.
