Your behind by a few posts with that argument. They already know what they have in Workman. At least I think so. You guys act like starting Wright is conceding the game. Where is it written that starting Wright automatically equals a lost game. In the first place, I don't think the Sox will come out and lay two eggs in a row like that. But if they did, I don't give a rats ass, what Houston did to or for or about the O's or anybody else that is not the Red Sox. I would be concerned about seeing that offense shut down two in a row by the lowly Astros.

It's pretty easy to shut down this offense when your big RH bat (Napoli) goes 0-4 and leaves 6 runners stranded.

The Red Sox need a new 3B, and quick. Whether thats Middlebrooks or Bogaerts, it doesn't matter. This team needs a RH stick in the lineup badly.

We don't know the exact reasoning behind the decision. Maybe Workman's innings limit for this year precludes him from being a starter the rest of the way.

My guess is that they want Workman to work out of the bullpen so they can see if they need to make any more trades (Aug waiver deals). If they start Workman tonight, that's just another 5 days until he can throw again.

This third base platoon is a black hole for this team. I think that they must be looking at upgrades.
