Escobar is going to find his way to Madden's dog house before they even finish this series. What a stiff!

Gameday froze on Drew's AB. I gather from your reactions that Escobar made an error. What happened after that?

Double play ball. 1B went to Escobar, who then threw it wide of first. Drew took second, as two runners crossed the plate. Saltalamacchia K'd after that.

Escobar was in the middle of a tailor made DP at second base and threw the ball into the stands allowing two runs to score. I am only shocked that Escobar did not find his way into a Sox uniform. He appears to have all the qualities we usually like in a SS.:D:D

In fact Madden may leave him here...even without a job!

Apparently the Red Sox were checking in on Giancarlo Stanton this week, says Gammons.

That would make Ells a gone guy then, no?

Or are we thinking that JBJ would be involved?

As did many other teams. According to some on Twitter, the Marlin's GM literal response was: "Lol no" through text.

I don't think the Marlins have any use for Ellsbury. JBJ would definitely be involved.

Haha, probably. Still, its good to see that the Red Sox will be active on the trade market.

Make no mistake. Stanton WILL force a trade out of Miami eventually.

And he has every right to. I'd be pretty pissed off too if I were him

Escobar trying to redeem himself at the plate. No idea how he landed in Tampa. Rays must have been desperate for a SS.

Rays simply do not have the horsepower to recover from the kinds of messes Escobar can get into almost daily.
