I'd like to see a Penguins/Blackhawks final. Clearly the best two teams in the league.

Best regular season teams in the league. The playoffs are a different animal, as we saw when the Bruins faced the Canucks, and had the chance to wear them down physically over seven games. The longer this series goes, the bigger the advantage for Boston. The Penguins should be looking to make this series quick, like 91 or 92 when they played in the Eastern Conference Finals.

This Pens team is WAY better than that Canucks team was and it's not even close.

Penguins +300 in 5.

Penguins +350 in 6.

I'm debating about what result to take. Can the Bruins win one at home, and Rask steals one? I'm a little worried about Vokoun.

I could take the Pens to win the series at -200, or to win the Cup at +140. Any gamblers on the board?

Seriously?

Have you not watched the Pens since they have been healthy from the start of the playoffs?

The '11 Canucks had a goal differential of +77, the Penguins would have been on pace for a goal differential of +78.6 over a full season. Seems pretty similar...

Oh and both hand injuries, so please don't try that route when backtracking.

Yeah, I can't wait. My only gripe is that the game is on at the same time as Red Sox/Yankees. Red Sox should be an afternoon game.

No. :thumbdown

I got somewhere to be out in this heat.

Bruins 3, Unstoppable High Scoring Penguins 0

Gee, imagine that. Bruins were in Crosby's head half way through the second period. Boston's playing with house money now.

Describe the Kings/Blackhawks game in one word.

s*****.

Another Bruins WIN would be very nice!!

Yeah it would! How loud would the TD Garden be for games 3 and 4 if that happened?

Holy jumping hockey pucks.....Pens come out unable to score and clueless defensively....3-0 Bruins with 2:40 left in the 1st.

And...

The Pens were frustrated at the end of Game 1. No idea what they are going to be like now. Fleury is back in the Nets.

The Penguins scored at the end of the period and it looked like they'd get some momentum, and then Marchand scored his second goal of the night

Absolutely devastating going in to the intermission. The Penguins look like complete s***.

Doesn't matter which goalie the Pens put in there...both of these guys seem to give up rebounds like crazy. It encourages the Bruins to drive the nets and if you know you are gonna' drive the nets it even has an impact on how you enter the offensive zone. Heck it has an impact on how you come out of your own zone.

Meanwhile, Bruins defense is staunch, the Pens just seem to get more and more frustrated and Rask has made all the stops save one.....in four periods plus....against the Pens!!!

Pens are allowing the Bruins to set up a camp site down there in front of their own goal. Nobody even trying to move them out nor preventing them from getting in.

This really gets me excited. The Bruins have been unstoppable since The Comeback, and perfect 4-0 at home including that game. They can easily pull off a sweep here.

If the B's can get past the Pens, they'll have to deal with the Blackhawks juggernaut or Jonathan Quick.

At this point, it would be surprising if the Bruins didn't win this series in five games or less. It all starts with the Penguins defense. They can't even get the puck out of their own zone so that their forwards get a chance to score. The Penguins had eight total shots on net 10 minutes in to the second period. By the time they started getting shots on net, the Bruins were already up by four.

Once the Pens stop skating it becomes hard to tell what they are. They are not built on defense so lousy Pens defense is not too much of a surprise. But they are getting down so fast and they get frustrated quickly. Tonight they stopped skating before the 1 period ended and they were doomed after that. It became a comedy of errors withs Pens bumping into each other, giving up the puck and then watching three Bruins skate down the other end and score.

On one level the Pens are a good example of a team that decides its best player must be the captain. Captain is not insignificant in hockey. Yet Sid the Kid is just that...a kid. He gets moody, frustrated, unhappy and the whole team goes right in the tank with him....crazy stuff. Funny thing about it is guys like Aginla know how to captain a team but are too new to this one to be its captain.

I bet Iginla regrets vetoing his trade to Boston so that he could go to Penguins. What was it he said again, he wanted to play for the team with the best chance to win? I'm also glad the Bruins didn't give up anything of value for him, he's been invisible this series.

BREAKING NEWS: IGINLA FOUND TRYING TO BREAK INTO BRUINS LOCKER ROOM, HALF NAKED TRYING TO PUT ON AN IGINLA 12 BRUINS JERSEY. IGINLA WAS QUOTED AS SAYING “WHAT DO YOU MEAN IM NOT A BRUIN? WASNT I TRADED THERE IN MARCH?” WHEN INFORMED HE IS IN FACT A PENGUIN, IGINLA BEGAN TO CRY AS HE PUT HIS PENGUINS SWEATER BACK ON

There is so much funny ironic s*** going on around this thing...not assuming anything but Bruins are not looking bad so far.

On the ironic side, remember when the whole Iginla thing went down and he was Mr Cheshire Cat having "used" the Bruins to get where he wanted to go. Then we end up getting Jagr almost like a consolation prize cause we had to do something(I guess). At first blush it looks hard to integrate Jagr into what is in the main the defensive minded Bruins. Jagr becomes a little frustrated because he can't hook up with line mates that think about offensive hockey the way he does. But to his credit, he does not give up, Doesn't make a lotta' noise...keeps to the same routine he has adhered to for God only knows how long.

We get into the post season and Claude (bless his heart) has found ways to integrate Jagr so that he can get something done and not grow frustrated himself. In the meantime where the hell is Iginla?? He has totally disappeared. You can't even tell he is on the ice its so bad. You would have thought from how that whole thing played out that he would have integrated into the Pens pretty seamlessly. There is a difference between integrated into and swallowed up and it looks like Ignla has been swallowed up.
